Note to self: no matter how sweaty I get while playing DDR, never ever take off my shirt to feel more comfortable.

I just a two week ban 10 minutes before closing hahahahaha. two weeks? why not just ban me completely. I don't understand them. Do they think I'm that ugly D: hahahaha

I was playing the Legend of Max and one of the guys who worked there came up to me and said

"dude, you gotta put on your shirt"

While in the last 20 seconds of the song I said

"let me finish, it's over soon"

he said "no you gotta do it now"

I said while my great count soared because I can't speak and play at the same time

"please just let me finish the song"

he said

"no, do it now, or we'll ban you"

I finished the song and said

"see, it's over now, I'll put on my shirt"

Then he gave me a two week ban for not doing what he said immediately.

I smiled and walked away

yeah, can't say that's a great mental image. Tongue  I wonder if Gameworks people even keep track of who people are for bans and stuff like that.

went here a week ago.

Drummania: Awesome
GuitarFreaks: Awesome
Pop'n Music: works fine, except it's weird. The left white button is REALLY loose. Like you can lift it an inch off the cabinet, but it still works fine, I full combo'd a couple of 24's
So I guess.......it's fine, it just needs to be fixed in that respect.
DDR Extreme 1P: Fantastico! except the up arrow is getting weak.
DDR SuperNova: it works alright, stomp a little hard though.
DDR X: BAHAHAHAHAHAHA yeah right, I'm not gonna play it.
Dance Maniax: fantastico! Still one of my favorites at gameworks.

didn't play it, but last time I did was about a month ago, the right drum was almost unplayable, but the left one was in pretty good condition

I usually avoid gameworks but I was here last night for a function.
Drummania: Everything responsive with possible exception of the toms.  Screen seemed really low resolution but maybe that's due to me getting used to V3.

Guitarfreaks: Volume was too low and screen really needs to be degaussed or changed out.  Other than that, 1P guitar (the only one I used) was working alright.

Hey, just to let everyone here know, there is now a ddr supernova 2 machine at gameworks. It is $1.50 per game and is in the same room as the extreme machine. I only played on the left pad, but it works very well. Enjoy!

Wait, another DDR cab?  Or did they upgrade Supernova?

Read July 07, 2010, 03:23:36 PM #289

It's another ddr cabinet. The supernova machine is in the same spot.

I'll update this thread in the morning. I just went tonight.

Relevant info:
Drummania cymbal is weak, but it does respond every time if you hit it reasonably hard. I FC'd a 72 on it. I think it's alright. The machine crashed with a CD error in the middle of one of my sets, but they got the tech over to look at it (yes, Gameworks actually seems to have techs on site!) and he rebooted the machine. It didn't crash again, but be careful! Especially if you pick TL100S!
GuitarFreaks works fine but the monitor looks dreadful. Convergence issues, oh boy!
SN2 1P side is great, 2P side might have down arrow issues but I'm not sure.
X 1P side is fine, it didn't seem too laggy either.
Pop'n Music buttons *feel* great, but randomly decide to not respond. I did pretty well on a 42, but I guess there could be issues for people who don't mash as hard as I do.
Taiko 1P side is alright, but it could be better.

Dance Maniax: fantastico! Still one of my favorites at gameworks.

Sup guys!  I have been out of the Bemani scene for years, but I'm looking to get back into it, maybe.  I'm especially interested in playing Dance Maniax again.  I was pretty disappointed when I went to Narrows and saw it was missing.  Sad

I don't see it listed in the first post here, but the post I quoted mentioned it from not too long ago.  Is there still a machine at Gameworks?  If not, where might I find one?

I used to go gameworks about every other day.
If it's gone, then I don't no what happened to it. I played it a bunch to make sure it made it's keep.
As far as I know it should still be there.

It's still there. I just forgot to put it in the list a long long time ago! Give me pricing details and I'll add it.

Awesome!  I live down in Olympia so I probably won't be able to get up to Gameworks until next week sometime, but if no one else has gotten pricing details by then I'll do my best to get them for you.  Smiley

Thanks!

This is non-Bemani related -  but could someone post if they see a Super SFIV  or  KOF XIII cabinet show up at Gameworks?

Thanks in advance.

I updated the Seattle conditions for most of the prices and added pad condition charts for the two dance games I played.

Most of GW's DDR machines are CRAP now. I do like the new layout of the place since they took out the huge racing game that took up the whole back wall.
