Well, I'm back now. Time for some ridiculous V3 action today.

Bill, just confirming: the TGM tournament on the 19th is still on, right? 6pm!

Kevin, yes, it's on.  Just remind me the day before and let me know when you will be there so the tech can come by and get the cabinet unlocked.

Just went down to Acme. Some new TGM3 records and a whole lotta DM.

First things first:

Drummania is absolutely amazing!! The cabinet works pretty much perfectly. Volume is good, drums are good, everything is good. The only complaint I have now is that the bass pedal makes this really really painfully loud *clunk* noise when you let go of it. I don't think it's urgent to fix as it still works perfectly but it's kind of annoying if you're playing any other game and you have to hear it.

I saw the ITG3 marquee today, heh. Gotta get working on that ASAP...

TGM is perfect as usual. ITG and both DDRs were working fine.

Also, ah fuck! I meant the 17th. That's what the earlier post said at any rate.

Thanks for getting DM back in action Bill ~ seems to be running great.   One thing I wanted to ask is if  bonus (long songs) could be set to 2 songs  the way it was before.   It is currently set that way on GF but not on DM  (DM has long songs count as 3 songs).

Thanks.

I will not that and make that adjustment nex visit.  But looks to be next week wednesday that I will arrive there.  Thx for the heads up about that.

Pair of issues we've had for a while with MAX2:
- Fail end of song is annoying since extra stage is locked to one song that most people don't really like that much.  Every one of my sets ends in picking MaxX, walking away from the machine, and coming back 2 minutes later so I can play again.
- Volume is a little low on it's own, completely overpowered by Supernova when people are playing.  I've played the same songs with and without someone on SN and had scores consistently go from 5 greats to 25 as a result.  Not unplayable or anything, just really annoying.

One other thing: could you maybe just turn up the volume on Drummania a tiny bit? It seemed a little quieter than GuitarFreaks and it was bad because the GF attract mode overpowered the DM while I was playing it.

In other news ITG is still amazing.  I hear from others that the 2P up arrow is a touch flaky, but I play on 1P side and it's awesome.  Finally getting a few 99's here and there!  Average 9~10 score up from 93-ish to 96-ish, yay for practice.

Also, did something change with the USB ports?  My card wasn't working for the longest time, but the last... week or so it's been working perfectly.  I did a reformat, but it didn't start working until 3 or 4 days after I did so.

I can vouch for ITG2's 2p up, it only happens once or twice per night, but I do get misses during fast runs because you can't step anywhere near as lightly as on the other arrows.  Still pretty sensitive, just not consistent with the other arrows on that side.  Probably just need to clean out the bottom or right sensor, it seems like one of those two has been the problem.

Apparently one of the TGM coin slots is jammed.

Sorry for the double post.

Just a reminder that the Tetris The Grand Master tournament is at 6pm on Friday. Can we have the cabinet unlocked at, say, 5:30 to do a last minute full I/O check? I think all the buttons are fine, but I have a few spares on hand in case anything needs pre-tournament fixing. We've got a few out of state players coming, this should be neat!

Kevin, yes, we will have someone up there around that time and will leave the top cabinet door unlocked.  Please phone the service number and leave a message about an hour before completion, so they can plan to stop back by and lock the cabinet.  Please have all game settings returned to where they were when you are done.

Other Acme news:
Tried to find the burp on ITG player 2 up arrow, but all checked out fine.  Max 2, and DM volumes turned up a slight, and autofail turned on on Max 2.

I would, but I'll be off in Bellingham for two weeks.

Tournament was great, sorry to anyone who was trying to play GFDM (or anything else in the vicinity) for the excess noise.

It seems TGM3 died exactly right after the final match of the tournament ended.

Bill, thanks so much for letting me run this. Videos are going up on youtube soon, so you can witness the ridiculous level of play for yourself.

Wasn't too much excess noise at all; in fact the noise level was perfect thanks to Bill's tweaking.

Glad you guys had a fun tourney and we could coexist happily.

On a side note, what specifically is up with TGM? Apparently someone from Tetrisconcept went there and it was still gone. If it's a technical problem, I might be of some use if you guys need any assistance. I'm pretty good with the Type X and Type X2 hardware stuff.

Bill, just a small issue I noticed today. It looks like when we did the TGM repair the JAMMA cable might not have been seated quite correctly. The monitor is bleeding colors and stuff quite badly, and to me it looks like some JAMMA connector not being fully plugged in. I doubt the monitor would go from fine to as bad as it is overnight. I didn't want to phone it in because it's still playable, it just looks kinda funky.

ITG, DDRSN, Max2, Pop'n, and GFDM were all working fine. Thanks for everything. Cheesy

Back from Okinawa for a few days. Still haven't gone to Acme to get my ITG fix. Haven't played since November 07. At least I've kept up on 4 panels somewhat. But as far as Pump goes, I'll have to wait and see. Is Pump Pro still there? Whats a good time to go there?

Pump pro is gone sadly.
Weekends are good if you want to play with people from the community. But weekdays are nice because no one is around and you can actually here what your playing.
