DDR Extreme is now 3 songs. Pads are still in rough condition.

DDR Supernova is back up, also 3 songs. Pads are pretty decent. The 2P side is overall better, but both are quite playable.

Please tell me they've changed the prices on both of these? $2.60 for 5 songs wasn't too horrible, but for 3?!

I just got an email from GW saying that timecards are available until 7pm now on Mondays through Fridays. Is this news? I haven't really needed to fill up my card for a while.

I just got back from Gameworks.  The DDR Extreme is in pretty horrible condition.  Not worth going back to for any DDR, but nice for Pop N and Dancemaniax and Taiko!  Happy to see some import games in an arcade.  Big place!

Time to try Acme bowl for quality DDR  Tongue

If GF/DMV4 is still being officially distrobuted in the US, then they would be best to just wait for that.  Heck, it would be nice to have both that and GF11/DM10 under the same roof.

More like they have no reason to upgrade until they aren't tied for most up-to-date GFDM in WA.  Even then, their business isn't powered by serious players, it's all casual players who try things a couple times... and drunk people.

And yeah, we all know V requires new (expensive) hardware.

I think GFDMV would require new hardware. There's no reason to upgrade GFDM 11/10 as long as they are still making gobs of money from RB/GH pros trying the game for the first time.

Good job! You get a cookie!

Now if only GW would notice us like you noticed the topic change. Maybe they'd pick up GFDMV4 if that was the case. :/

Re: Location: Gameworks (Closed from 6pm tonight ZOMG!)

Damn... just got back from Seattle.  Had a good time... but no GW!  I saw the sign saying private event from 6-11p.  Oh well.  The Pop'n machine was sitting there all lonely, waiting to be popped...

I did get some Faygo though!  Heh...

As for the email tihng, yeah, you get coupons for 2 hours of gameplay for Jan, Feb, and March.  I'll probably use the March one during Sakuracon.  I'm sure I'll be able to blow 2 hours there.

Drummania works good i think. It's quite loud compared to the otehr games. SN is out of order. Fun games. check your email and sign up for replay rewards so you get free hours of game play!

If anyone has been back after the first, are they still doing the temporary happy hour promotion?

Patrick Phan just called me. Gameworks is closing at 6 for a private event.

Might wanna avoid it.

Hopefully I'll see everyone there!

ALSO hopefully someone brings a video camera! I want to record videos but don't want to bring a tripod. Yes, I'm really that lazy.

Re: Location: Gameworks (Sucks SIGNIFICANTLY LESS (end of p3))

Games are half price Monday Through Friday until January 1st.
Hopefully this is because they're trying to determine if they want to bring Happy Hour back...

EVERYONE GO PLAY on weekdays. I'd really like to see happy hour come back (or maybe just half price weekdays).

GF has been crashing from time to time. I think it's due to a short somewhere. It will reboot after about five minutes.

If it crashes during a session, both GF and DM go down and have to be reset by a tech.

If either happens, let the front desk or a tech know, and they'll reset it and credit you.

GF/DM volume is ridiculously loud which is cool unless you wanna play ddr, and to a lesser extent pop'n.

extreme: 1P left arrow sucks, 2P down arrow sucks.
supernova: out of commission.
USA: probably sucks, didn't bother.

All the drums worked perfectly on Wednesday, and the volume was even higher than normal.
