Hey new to the Seattle area would love to go with and meet up with some people if possible.  Played mostly supernova and extreme back home, but I'm ok.  Took a long break about two years and wanna get back into it.  Rivalry always helpful!!

Welcome. What area will you be living in? I ask, because there's a lot of different areas to play and some may or may not be close to you.

I live in capitol hill and while exploring downtown I saw gameworks apparently a bar and arcade place.  Only got to check it out for a bit with some friends but they seemed to have a lot of machines Cheesy  Unfortunately a lot of bad ones so a friend suggested I check out the conditions on here.  Im excited to start putting in some time to DDR as I haven't played since early college where machine access was easier.

I don't know if your into ITG or Pump for that matter, but it's highly suggested you go other places like ACME bowl because gameworks either never fixes machines or takes decades to fix them.

Here ya go. You can use this to find local arcades. This site's info is mostly up-to-date. You may ask about a specific arcade here if you want to know the latest info about it.

SN2 has always been pretty good; I've never got a pad error on it surprisingly. Also if you really want to get your DDR on, on Thursdays you can purchase a $10 time card anywhere between 5pm and 1am and it will be active until closing (1am).

Forgot about SN2. I just remember last time I was there pretty much all the machines were broken in some way.

SN2 and Technika 3 have always been fine for me. X2 has been ok as well.

If they finally fixed the busted panel on X2 I might be forced to go and play again. Best song list!

Greeting from Colorado!

Looks like I'll be here a couple times during PAX weekend (Aug 29-Sep 3) and I was totally hoping to meet up in the evening of the 29th or whenever.  I know lines will be massive due to the convention, but with enough notice maybe people will be able to make it?

First time in Seattle.  Totally stoked.

I'd be totally willing to meet up! Long time no see since.....omg probably like 2 years ago or so.
also I can't speak on the condition of any of the music games there, but SN2 seems to always be alright.

Hey, Spork! Will you be here for PAX, or just here during PAX weekend?
I'll be at PAX on Saturday. With the 29th being the Thursday before PAX, I wouldn't think lines would be too long at Gameworks?

Indeed I will be, got tickets the one day they were for sale and all.  I got divorced recently so I figured a huge gaming convention would be perfect to rediscover who I am and whatnot.
4 days is a lot to run around there though, so I'm down to meet up any other time as well.  My friend is the superintendent of an apartment building like 8 blocks from the convention center/GameWorks and I'm staying with him, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to make it by if another time works.

DDR X2's sensors went to CRAP in just a month and a half.
Both sides on X2 are unplayable now.

SN2 was still good, so if you want to play DDR only play that one.
Also, the Taiko drums are in TERRIBLE shape. There are literally holes in the center of both of them.

Oh, were you there today too?  I was down there and had the same impression... X2 was completely crap -- I played a game on each side and got Cs.  Then went over and played Supernova 2 and was getting full combos.  Mentioned it to an employee, but I don't have any real confidence that anything will come of it.

The rightmost green button on the Pop 'n Music machine was a little flaky too.  You needed to hit it pretty solidly to be sure it would count.

I was! Early in the evening though; I didn't see you around. I reported X2 to an employee as well, but he was some young hotshot who knew clearly knew nothing about DDR nor cared about it. Maybe with both of us reporting, it might actually get looked at.

I had taken the day off and went down to use a $20 Groupon for an all-day pass.  Got there about noon, was gone by 4pm or so when I got tired and wanted to avoid rush hour traffic on the way home.  So you probably weren't there yet.

But that also means it doesn't sound like anyone worked on the machine between the time I tried it and the time you did.  Maybe having two different people gripe about it will give them a chance of fixing it, but I doubt that.

New here -- I was at Gameworks today. I recently moved to the pacific northwest and was referred to this site by a guy named Matt who I played Supernova 2 with for a few hours today Grin.

I was here tonight. They were servicing the X2 machine, looked like they were installing new sensors?  Cheesy. The extreme machine appears to be in good shape as well 1P side at least. Its as good if not better than the Supernova 2 machine imo.

Looks like they replaced the sensors on the X2 machine finally. I played on the right side and it felt good.
