Yo Chris, glad it's working well.  The thugs are being removed, and it shows.  DM has not been trashed, other than by your drum sticks in a record long time now.  This summer is going to be hot with racing game action.  Max tune 3 and ID4, new cabinets around July.

I was there on Saturday two weeks ago.  There was another dude who comes down from Redmond, I always forget his name; it's something simple like Matt or Mark or something, Asian guy in his twenties or so it seems.  He's pretty awesome at Drummania too and he sessioned with me and my bud Pete.

Other than that I am usually there on Fridays.  Since there are only a handful of peeps who play DM, there is a high probability you saw me.  Feel free to introduce yourself if you see me =D

IIDX: The keys are not being very responsive.

That's about it for arcades for me.

Some people probably don't remember me, but I used to go to Narrows all the time back before they started the VIP thing, and when I wanted to join the list, the people in charge at Narrows took my name off the list AND THEN they 86ed me from narrows permanently!  I recently met up with a friend who said there's a new forum that everyone's using now, and so here I am.  I still play Stepmania, DDR, and ITG on my computer and various other arcades, but I just wanted to try and say hello to anyone who remembers my name and find out what's new with the scene.  That's pretty much it as far as that goes.  Oh, and I'd like to get in contact with Bill and see if there's some way I can compromise with those Narrows folks, and try to get UNBANNED.

So does the Narrows ITG machine work pretty decently now?

Yeah it works fine but the dedicab will always be better. It feels really weird going there in the daytime

Yeah, going to Narrows during the daytime could make anyone feel like an outsider, but Acme is so far to go, and I want to start playing custom songs again, so Narrows, it is... I hope... if they'll unban me.  Compromise plz kthx!

Do they know you by face? or just by screen name?

Because if they can't recognize you or if there's someone else working who hasn't seen you before, just put a new name on the list.

They would recognize me right away the minute I walked in the door.  I used to go there all the time, and they know who I am, regardless of what name I use...

Oh, and I think I know exactly why stuff happened now.  They took my name off the list because they saw me there all the time and knew my spending habits, or LACK of spending, most of the time, and they know alot of the money I spent around Narrows was change I found there.  They BANNED me because there was a complaint that I was panhandling (asking people for money).  Two things for two reasons, I realize, they just happened around the same time frame, or they might have considered my looking for money around the arcade a form of panhandling as well, but I'm not so clear on that, which is why I want to find out if there's some way I can compromise with those folks...

KidTuesday-
Have you tried composing a formal letter of inquiry and interest of compromise to the management of Narrows? I think it's a conflict of interest for Bill to get involved, unfortunately.  You should try to find a regular who goes to Narrows and can vouch for your character to help you out.  But you have to realize that you have to do most of the work to help yourself out.

Anyhow, going to Narrows during the day is the same as going on Friday evening, for me.  Noone is there =P

Bill-
Anyhow, the Narrows DM machine has been doing just splendidly, man, good work.  I would, however, like to suggest that the hi-hat get a maintenance job; it is just becoming unresponsive to really light, rapid hits.  And I am always working on getting my drumwork lighter.

Other than that, the rest of the machine is doing great.

Yeah I noticed that less and less people are starting to go to Narrows even on Fridays. What ever happened to all the cool people like JJ and stuff? Great arcade it's just that no one really goes there anymore. Even I'm starting to go there less but not because I don't like the place....

Well, one reason is people think it's too far to commute to.  I just carpool cuz it's totally worth it, in my opinion.  Also I have friends and my alma mater and many of my favorite places are in Tacoma, so for me T-town is simply the center of my life in Washington for the most part.

I've actually decided to forget about trying to get unbanned.  I'll just make the trip to Acme every so often to get my ITG2 and DDR SN fix.

edit: and wow, no one cares about Narrows anyway!  10 days and no posts since this one.  or maybe there's just no developments or news.

SN has a bad computer.  Sent off for repairs, so we pulled the machine in so it would not sit out of order.  Will be back when fixed.

Hey Bill,
Drummania machine was seeing a lot of action tonight; that was good to see =D  And it's working just fine.  I even full-comboed the rapid hi-hat on pipeline, so that's how I know the hi-hat is up to snuff.  Thanks for fixing that.

Hello Bill,
Couldn't play DM yesterday because the coin slot was jammed  and wouldn't register input credits =/ Also lost 50 cents (managed to get 25 out of there but I didn't want to attack the machine for the rest), but no big deal there.  I called it in for repairs but am not certain if a tech showed up.

Yeah I always phone; I just like to leave a note here because sometimes things fall through the cracks.
