If so, and that rating is accurate, and it doesn't cost some huge extra fee to get into the place, this is going to be my new hangout this summer.  At 25 cents a game, I can afford to go here 2 or 3 times a week, and Max2 is a good enough mix that I'd feel satisfied frequenting it.  It's also the right distance away to bike to and get my initial warm-up and cool off; the same distance I used to be from Ground Kontrol and Avalon.  Has anyone actually been to this place in the last 2 years though?

That MAX2's been there for several years at least. I was telling people about this machine and how it was a nice cheap place to play that wasn't Wunderland, but absolutely nobody gave a shit except MTJ.

The pads were good back in 2006. Now? I don't think they've ever cleaned them out. I don't remember when the last time I stopped by was, but I remember getting a shitload of pad misses and just walked off during the 1st song.

Yes, and I do remember that.  It was just really inconvenient for me to get out there at that time.  Now it's just 13 miles on my bike, which is hardly a trek for a good machine.  I'll check this machine out some time within the next couple of weeks.  Assuming it's still there, I'll bring back a report of its functionality.

I would not bike 13 miles to play on this machine! Assuming the pads are still in the same condition they were in the last time I was there. If they ever did fix them I'd hit it up more often and play me some Pop 8, that's for sure.

I'm probably going to go to Sunset Lanes at some point this weekend, I'll stop by here too since it's on the way back. But I wouldn't expect a miracle.

I was gonna ask if you wanted to his up Sunset Lanes on Saturday afternoon.  I've got plans for the evening, so I'm planning to host our usual gaming on Sunday

I bike nearly twice that each way for school.  Not a big deal.

Still not something I'd do for a bad machine, but maybe I'm just lazy.

Anyway I did stop by Malibu but I was completely exhausted from playing at Sunset Lanes. I can however say that no, the pads do not get the BBH Seal of Approval. 1P side is baaaaaad, 2P side is almost ok but the right arrow was dropping freezes and eventually a miss or two, and the left arrow looked like it was double-firing every now and then or something but I'm not sure. Also the screen is kinda screwy and part of the right side is cut off so it looks weird, which sucks since that's the "good" side now.

If someone can get them to clean out the pads I would definitely start dropping by again, but it's not worth it in its current state  :\

Okay, thanks for the report.

It's cool to hear that they have at least held onto the machine.
