Holy crap, I just realized that score KDDR got was on a DDR Megamix machine. You know, that one bootleg nobody likes to talk about.

Nice scores Gerrak, honestly. They are impressive.

And seriously, that custom theme isn't Kevin's. Nor did Discovolante ever say it was yours. No one ever accused discovolante of hacking his timing windows either. People, let's get our heads out of our asses and post some damn scores.

Thank you.

Uh, no one else called me out on that.

You guys know you can turn down the judging difficulty right? I know you all know that but no one mentioned it as a possibility. Might be something to check...

I'm perfectly chill about this, I just couldn't help pointing out how dumb that was to say.

And I got some harder songs today Gerrak, just for you! (okay I lied I got them for me but the thought still counts)

#210, this is a 14 (like konoko and Pluto heavy and Chaos heavy)

#211

#212 (this is a 13 like volcano and Sakura and Xepher heavy)

#213

#214

#215

#216 (also a 13)

good day

Rainbow Rainbow is probably the best post-Extreme chart I've played.  It's actually a really easy AAA because of how well it flows.  the beat would lend itself well to a much harder chart though.

I dunno what you're talking about, that chart fucking sucks. It barely even tries to follow the music. The step flow is alright, but it really screams out for some sixteenths. They could've still made a 7 or 8 that followed the music a little better.

I'm just horrific at DDR now. I really have a hard time consistently finding the perfect window. ITG feels much easier to me at the moment but I guess I have work.

Daaaaamn. Told you you could nail that shit. Need to step up my game big time! Awesome to have a new rival though  Wink None of the rest of these fools try anymore. My only new shit...

This song pissed me off for way too long.

Pretty positive this one's slightly off-sync. Still very playable though.

I gotta quit with the timing training and go back to stamina.  Sad  No pain no gain I guess...

Alright, sure.  Frozen Ray's a terrible chart too then I guess. :/

Are you sure we're playing the same chart here?

also, i want to play itg, but ive been sick, and broke, and sore, damn all. got a 97.somethingsomething on clockx from groovestats, with 2 misses and 1 w/o (felt like pad, recalc to just over a ** o.o)

Frozen Ray ISN'T a great chart. Do you guys actually like charts like that?

Xenon, ATNO and My Sweet Darling are probably my favorite non-10 charts on Extreme. They all follow the music for the most part. They are fun. They are challenging (well maybe not MSD).

Rainbow Rainbow is the same 8th note patterns for almost the whole song, no sixteenths even though the song is chocked full of them. Just another boring DDR 7. Frozen Ray is spins for a twenty measures and some syncopation. Better than RR but not by a whole lot.

Ha ha ha. This statement shows the huge difference in opinions from players. I absolutely HATE Xenon and consider it one of the top 10 hardest songs to PA on Extreme. It is tied for first place with Gradiusic Cyber for hardest 9 to PA on Extreme.

It blows my mind that you consider Xenon to be a great chart yet you hate Frozen Ray and question My Sweet Darling. Your and my tastes in charts are obviously quite different.

Whoa, step back. Kinda changing my words there.

I'm not  questioning MSD, it's absolutely one of my favorite charts in DDR, period. It's the challenging aspect I'm not 100% on because I've AAA'd it nearly every time I've played it.

If you think Xenon and Gradiusic Cyber are among the hardest 9's to PA on Extreme you haven't played enough songs. Off the top of my head: Burning Heat, HIA57, Tsugaru, Orion civ, INSERTiON, others. Those all have a shot at being the hardest PA-wise... BH's triplet offset is incorrect on EX, HIA57 has the same problem and has stupid slowdowns, same story for Tsugaru, Orion the same, insertion gets out of sync because of the speed changes which are also really difficult to time.

Xenon is dead-on sync or maybe a little early, the steps follow the music and are fun. Gradiusic Cyber is late and has runs, but otherwise isn't that bad.

Frozen Ray is just another example of a shitty, dialed-in DDR chart, I'm sorry. If the majority of the chart is just 8ths in groups of 3, especially if it doesn't really follow the music, how is it good at all? Believe me, there are plenty of other charts guilty of this on DDR, but that doesn't make Frozen Ray good/fun.

Uh...so for me a fun chart is something I can freestyle.  I don't have fun playing technical songs and never will.  I like charts with good step flow and that doesn't invalidate my opinion of a chart.  Opinions differ and it's not worth everybody getting butthurt over so let's stop freaking out...

In other news, B- Bend Your Mind Medium using only hands and elbows.  Nothing else exciting from today's ventures because I'm stupidly out of shape.

No one was talking about your opinion being invalid, Charlie. I understand there are differing standards for what makes a good chart, and ours are obviously pretty different.

But... if you wanted to freestyle why not play easier difficulties? Or double? More freedom that way. *shrug* Whatever.

So DDR X kinda of works.....I'm a little stunned honestly
Granted it's an easier song, I find it hard to believe I SDG'd it. usually I get a B or lower on any song on the gameworks machine. I guess they did some pad modification. There's still the lag though. I'm gonna still say it's not worth it

Umm, so last weekend these two kids that were leaving gameworks gave me their cards. They said there was like 150 credits on them, I didn't believe, but then.......they did. So I'm super happy about that, and I've been going through all of extreme right now. It's fun to go back and play songs I haven't seen in years. haha. here's some of the notable stuff.

Off the top of my head: Burning Heat, HIA57, Tsugaru, Orion civ, INSERTiON, others. Those all have a shot at being the hardest PA-wise...

A few comments from a jackass

Insertion hard to PA?  You're out of your mind.

Grad Cyber is late?  Uh, this is not the jackass in me speaking, you're just straight up wrong.  It's more or less dead on, then transitions to extremely early; by the end it's a good 48th note or so off.  That and the rhythm of that song is so not straight forward.  Is not in the same league as Xenon in any way shape or form (GC>>>Xenon in case there is confusion there)

Heaven is a 57 is an 8

oh yeah and the purple in orion is not what makes it hard.  I mean it doesn't make sense but it's not the same story as BH at all.  What makes it hard is the fact that by the time you get to the middle it's really early and so is the entire ending.  People are not good at early songs, much less songs that drift.

Tsugaru does have the end (some of which is inconsistent with the music), and the jacked up 24ths and the 32nds (that I think are supposed to be 24ths, anyway), but is dead nuts on sync

conclusion: burning heat is retarded

Jackass, from another jackass:

Insertion is fucking ridiculous, I'm sorry. This is personal opinion, remember? I think I've SDG'd that song once and that's that. The 140 BPM parts aren't hard, but that middle section is so stupid. I know I can't do it anymore because after getting used to X, x3 is way too slow and x4 will fuck me up at the end.

Grad Cyber gets so late, so fucking late after the runs. I know people will back me up on this. Starts off on-ish and then gets late.

HIA57 being an 8 is still just a testament to its difficulty

Orion is just stupid all around, and it's an obnoxious song

Tsugaru is on-sync but on Extreme the gallops are so off, and you know that's what I was talking about. I find the end pretty easy though, IDK.

And yeah BH is retarded.

What really bugs me is that most of these songs are just hard because they're wrong. Tsugaru, BH, HIA57 and Orion (in some capacity) all suffer from pre-X's quantization problem. On X they're so much easier, about the same as songs of the same difficulty. Which is good because now that they're all 13's-14's they're lumped in with shit like HDVH, Pluto heavy, Chaos heavy, konoko, volcano, etc.

also re: GC >>> Xenon if you mean in terms of quality, I was at first mad but then I realized they're both pretty sweet. Either way they both follow the music, so they're more fun to me than something like RR or Xepher heavy.

anyway <3 James come to Japan plz

Keby: Ugh American X really sucks... Koko Soko would be an auto-AAA for you on a Japanese cab, I promise. Nice everything on Extreme though, haha.

Grad Cyber is really fucking early (on extreme).  I will not concede that as personal opinion bullshit.  Maybe it gets late on X I dunno, but on extreme it's on par with hyper eurobeat towards the end.

Yeah the gallops should all be 12ths and 24ths, and that does make them sort of a pain.  Like Matsuri Japan.  Those should not be 16ths, haha

I played two sets

I feel... - Insertion - Kakumei(oni) - TL100s - TL100s - Cartoon  Heroes

8 total (2-1-0-2-2-1)

1 in the runs of SMMMoni (but a lot before them)

99.27 on do you love me expert for no reason

failed 113 steps from the end of epileptic crisis expert, have never seen before, hahaha
