I've heard that RUSH has closed, and that E-Spot has kind of gone to crap.  And the reviews of CHQ on Yelp recently are really poor, though that's hard to say if it's CHQ's fault or Yelp's fault.  Any places up in the general area that are still worth visiting to play arcade games?

I don't know if I'd say that E-Spot's gone to crap. Pop'n, GFDM, and IIDX all played great last time I was up there. CHQ basically only has DDRX3 now so isn't really worth goimg to.

E-spot is great compared with CHQ! Many of the machines take quarters so you don't need to worry about tokens unlike at CHQ. RUSH closed a LONG time ago though!

Yes, the reviews of CHQ at Metrotown are poor mostly because the manager there is anti-social! The employees at that arcade seem normal though.

There is another CHQ at Playland though so you might want to visit that place too. There is also a Movieland Arcade in downtown Vancouver.

I think that covers all of the arcades in greater Vancouver although there may be arcade machines in a laundromat on Granville St. and a restaurant in Coquitlam.

I'll definitely play Pop'n, GFDM and IIDX at E-spot since I live in Vancouver. I'll visit CHQ at Metrotown to see if they have any new dance machines.

Z-i-V's database is at least a year old for each of the Vancouver arcades.

Gary, if you could provide updates on Z-i-V for those locations, that would be awesome! Cheesy

MUCH older than just one year. They're mostly 4 years old! I deleted RUSH arcade because it was closed earlier and now I updated the games list for CHQ.

Many of the redemption games weren't in the list but I doubt many people go to CHQ @ Metrotown for the redemption games so I couldn't care less about those missing titles.

I was disappointed that a few titles didn't make it onto the list though like Sonic Blast Heroes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ITIlJlQ3fg

over the top the world arm wrestling championship

and Boxer.

I'll try to make it out to e-spot tomorrow.

If you're talking music games alone, CHQ @ Metrotown has not only DanceDanceRevolution X3 VS 2ndMIX but also In the Groove 2, jubeat copious, PERCUSSION MASTER 3 and ReRave.

The place also has Temple Run, Beat'em Up games, Fighting games, DARIUSBURST Another Chronicle, Pac-Man Battle Royale, lots of Racing games, rail shooters, Batman and the usual assortment of redemption machines.
