Wii DDR will probably be just like DDR. Normal gameplay, no virtual reality gimmicks, otherwise it's not even really like DDR anymore.

Little wiimotes come up and you wave it when it hits the top. Not much different than the useless eyetoy stuff on ps2 versions.

I don't play in the Arcade's anymore due to the fact that EMU's pads aren't the greatest, and the machine is crap. DDR at ATAM got moved so I have no place close.

DoReMiMania hello.
The rest of the stuff I say take with a grain of salt, and I'm not trying to force my opinion on you.
@ pop'n: Music is mostly second string stuff by in house artists. The controller is excellent, though. I'd play more if it had a good controller.
@ iidx: Crap controller, excellent music, botched scoring system.
@ GF: Guitar Hero anybody? GF is just hitting notes fast and playing power chords over and over. I personally see more skill in being able to place your fingers and get a sense of pitch for the notes you are playing.
@ DM: Nice controller, but I haven't played it enough to really formulate an opinion on its high points and lows.

DiiDiiR would have sold better.

They should have incorporated PPP into it.

Man, might as well call it DMX, since there's very little chance of eurobeat in the US version and less of a chance the game would have anything to do with actual para para dancing.

Sorry, everyone knowing PPP as another game to simply activate sensors ala DMX (versus the main concept on PPP: to learn/perform para para routines) is a huge pet peeve of mine. I should just get over it.

Better on-topic: I'm strictly an arcade player. But I like the title a lot.

I freestyle on DMX because there's no PPP for me to play. =D
I don't see how anyone can play PPP without actually doing the routines.
I've only played it once, and I was playing just as well as the people who actually played it, simply because I was doing the routines and not just trying to wave my arms where the arrows told me to.

I FS'd a little too, which was about 100x more fun than FS on DMX.

hahaha DoReMiMania XD

that simulator was pretty cool but i really sucked at it...
@pop'n: Controller is cool music is happy i am happy
@IIDX: Contoller is decent music is awesome i am happy (sky)
@GF:  The music is superior to anything on GH imo...  the controller itself is meh and the amount of buttons on it makes is a bit weird but much cooler than GH (once again my opinion)
@DM:  Really cool game... i am just getting into it really and i have to say that i might like it more than any of the other bemani games

tada

@GF:  Three buttons is more than enough, and there are some songs that just sound way too awesome when played on GF.
@DM:  Really cool game... I have been playing it ever since IZ got it.

@ GF: 3 buttons is for nubs, I don't play any guitar with less than 10 frets.

@ GF: Never was I comparing it to playing a real guitar.  I was comparing it to GH.

I don't like either; they're too pansy for my tastes.
I played GF once (Avalon), and beat the hardest song on the game on my 5th try, and I've tried GH once and was able to clear songs on expert or whatever first try.
I guess I can see why some people might like them, but they're too boring for my fingers.
Also, the controllers are too light, too small, and too plastic.
My crappy thrift-store mandolin's bigger, and has better feel too.

I hate plastic, except lexan and plexi, because they're basically glass on roids.

Mandolins rock.
I suck at it, and so does my mandolin, but it's pretty much the coolest instrument that has 8 strings and absolutely requires a pick to play.

You beat the hardest song on your 5th try?  I find that VERY hard to believe... unless you were playing 1st mix.

Which mix were you playing? =/

I was going to ask this exact question, but got lazy.  The difference between the hardest song on the first version of a Bemani game and the ones out now is huge.  I mean, look at PNM.  Early on, there weren't EX charts, or even Hyper charts for that matter (Hypers were introduced in PNM 3, EX in PNM 5).  IIDX 1st style didn't have any charts (including [a]s) rated above 7* in modern ratings.

Anyway, I have the exact question that Colin has... what mix was it?
