Great news, I can't wait for some new, functional machines! Maybe it'll make people want to play more... I've been out of town for awhile and I was hoping to see if anyone wanted to get a meet-up group started.

anyone interested?
Sure!

Hopefully they take good care of the machines going forward! Both of the DDR machines at the Round One I go to are in not so great condition, but the Pump machines have been okay.

Thanks for the good news! I've been dreaming of the day that Round 1 would finally open a Seattle location for 4 years now! It has finally come true!

Will they have any TTT2 Unlimited machines there? Is it true that Tekken 7 will be location tested there too?

I actually just heard that the opening has been moved out to July 17th, unfortunately. No public source though (it was from a friend).

Thanks for the update! It would have devastated me to pay for a 4-hour bus ride down to Seattle on Friday only to find the arcade wasn't going to open for about another month!

Yeah, it's sort of frustrating that Round1 isn't being more communicative. I keep learning things from secondary sources. :\

This tweet from Round1 Seattle seems to imply they'll be open at the beginning of July, if not sooner (the tweet itself is about Tekken 7 being around for a limited time at the beginning of July).

They just deleted the tweet and Facebook post that mentioned Tekken testing in beginning of July. Their other tweet about "piano keys" game coming in mid-July is still there.

So I'm going to assume it's been pushed to opening mid-July.

 Shocked

So they announce the opening on Twitter, then change it on Facebook.

Someone needs to prod their social media person and tell them to be more consistent in where they're sharing their information. Smiley

There's a reply on the FB post I linked asking for verification. If it is true (and they have AC), I think I know where I'm going this weekend :B.

We're opening Friday, but e-amuse services may not be available in time for grand opening. If you wish to play Taiko no Tatsujin, Pump It Up, or pop'n music, this does not affect you. If you're looking to play Sound Voltex, GITADORA, or beatmaniaIIDX exclusively, you might want to wait until shortly after opening once we've connected to the network.

Hurray, always-online DRM on arcade machines. :\

I thought PopN was also e-amuse only? Unless Round 1 doesn't have a version that requires it? Not that I've paid much attention to it.

pop'n music is Tune Street, which does not require internet.
