I stopped in on Sunday for a quick set, and the machine is still holding up decently well.

Who was in charge of this machine?  The arrow buttons on the cabinet are sticking pretty bad. Sensors are doing OK, thankfully.

Evan does the official maintenance for most of the machines there. He can work on the pads, but he is not able verify their consistency afterwards by himself.

One of the frequent visitors (Stephan) could likely have a look at them at well. I'm not sure who is the actual "owner" of the cabs, but whoever is at the front desk is usually willing to help or leave a note for Evan.

I was here last week, and the machine was off. The main screen had been taken out and what looked like an LCD monitor had been put in its place. Any news on the status of the machine?

The pads are in great shape again. The pads are also almost completely flush with the brackets. Thank you to whoever has been maintaining them.

I'm soon going to be a frequent visitor here, so that's great news that the machine is still being kept up!

Are you moving to Lynnwood? (I think I remember hearing something like that).

Yep, just moved up to Lynnwood, and am a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from you!

I ended up going on Friday night and met 4 or 5 regulars there that I had never seen before. I'm going to try to go more and get to know them better.

This is an upgrade cab, not a Max 2, correct?

Correct. It's an upgrade cab running SimplyLove theme.
Latest status is P1 up arrow and P2 right arrows are inconsistent. The owners have ordered new sensors though.

Anyone know the status of this machine? Just recently moved to Bothell and this looks like the closest machine to me.

Hey Simx.
I think I can comment, since I was just there a few days ago..
The LeftPlayer side has being having some off/on issues with the Up and Down arrows. Currently the RightPlayer is really good though.

Keep in mind of course, this is a hacked Max2 ddr cab that's running ITG with flushed arrows, so you may have to play with slightly different form than you would for an ITG dedicab ~

Thanks for the reply! Do you know what theme the machine is running? Does it use tokens or a card system and how much per game?  Might check this place out sometime this week.

Bothell? Well I'll be damned..So do I. Always nice to meet someone close that plays dancing games as well. Maybe you can be part of the Tukwila DDR Ace carpool squad that we have going. And Zach you need to change your profile location dude. You don't live in Redmond haha.

Yep! Just moved here not even a week ago. Trying to feel out the ddr/itg scene here.

Is there a list somewhere of what packs are on the machine? Is it USB enabled?

USBs profile ports are not set up.. and I doubt the owner will be in favor of adding that. He's had occasional issues with people  breaking into the PC with keyboards already, so adding a new hub to the front for easy access wouldn't make sense : \

As far as song packs, there's no record out there of what's presently on it. I can only recall about half of them, so at the very least there are these ones:
    • DDR 1st-8th Mix
    • Easy As Pie 1-3
    • Gerrak's Recommended (custom pack)
    • ITG 1-3 and Rebirth
    • Legend of Zim 1-4
    • Mute Sims 1-8
    • Our Princess Is In ____ (custom pack)
    • Piece of Cake 1-3
    • Pendulum Act 1
    • Touhou Hokyouso ~ Lunatic Dance Floor
    • Try To Quad (local tourny pack)

So I just checked this place out last night. The machine is really good, didn't have too many pad issues.  I'll definitely be coming back more often.
Who is in charge of adding new packs to the machine? There are several packs that I would like to see on there.

This is a shame.  I can completely understand the owners apprehension though.

And I apologize in advance, but this comment triggered rant mode; The dance game community was way too self-entitled back in 2008 - 2012. There were many players who felt it was their RIGHT to hack machines to make them "better", even though they forgot or ignored the fact that it wasn't their machine and they don't own it or have to maintain it when things break. Whenever I come across and ITG machine that looks glitched out and has its software failing, I just KNOW it was because some script kiddies tried to crack it open, half-way succeeded and then left it for someone else to deal with.
</rant>

Evan is in charge of the machine's core maintenance and basically the gatekeeper for themes and content, since he's employed by Another Castle. In the past, I've inquired about Evan's work schedule, then come in when he's on the clock with some community-desired packs on a usb drive for him to add when he has a chance. It would be courteous of course to list the packs that you're interested in and first run it by a few other regulars, either in-person or on AC's facebook page.

Kenji also volunteers with doing pad maintenance and can be a reliable mediator for getting content added ~

How are you supposed to change the song sort method on this machine?!?

The buttons below the monitor are very finicky..
The easiest way to sort on this cab is by tapping Up then Down repeatedly a few times on the dance pad. This brings up the basic OpenITG sort options.

Thanks, Zach!
What's in the way of the normal sort method working?
