Yesterday when I visited, the screen on ITG seemed a little dim; it was as if the contrast was turned down but the brightness was left at its current level. Maybe raise the contrast...please?

On that note, can anything be done about the focus? I know those monitors have focus knobs on them, couldn't hurt to try (if someone hasn't already messed with it).

Tomorrow I will go check out the contrast/focus/overall monitor situation, the coin mech, and the DDR pads. Can't guarantee what time, but it will be tomorrow

1. The contrast is turned up to 100%, so I turned the brightness down by 5% and degaussed. Hopefully that helps. If not, let me know and I'll look at it some more on Saturday.
2. Tony says the blurriness has always been there and he's not really sure what to do about it. I'll investigate further over the next couple of days.
3. I got 1p right doing a little better on X3 VS 2nd Mix per my own observations. You guys wanna test and tell me how it is?

I know we have some Air Hockey people here in the group. We decided to replace the Acme table, it was getting tired. For the last 38 years, we have only bought new tables made by Dynamo.
this go round, we decided to try another brand. It's a real nice tournament model. Hoping those that like Air Hockey will give their opinions on this table after playing it.
Thanks,
Bill

I was down at ACME on Friday afternoon, and at that time, ITG was eating quarters in both coin slots. Haven't been online to mention it much since then, but did send a text message about it to the number I had listed for Bill... not sure if that worked, though.

Heads up everyone. One of the Acme owners sent me a picture of the ITG stage covered in Baby Powder. They are asking that this mess is not left behind in the future. Please, plesa, please, clean up your Baby Powder after playing.
Also, wishing you all a Merry Christmas! :-)

Hey guys!
Hey guys! A couple of things.
Working on troubleshooting the e-amuse readers. We think the problem is a cable not working properly. Tony is coordinating with our contact on the East Coast to help me get this figured out. I'm sorry it's taking us so long!
Also, I wanted to give you guys a heads up that I'm going to be out of town for a couple of weeks; specifically, I'm gonna be in New Jersey learning all kinds of things about arcade hardware from said East Coast contact so that I can bring that knowledge back here!
While I'm gone, please call Bill's help line for minor maintenance issues like coin jams and under- or over- responsive sensors, and PM Tony here on the forums for emergencies like "ITG won't boot." (If you don't get a response from him quickly, feel free to PM me so I can direct his attention to it.)
Thanks and I can't wait to come back with a whole bunch of new skills.

What about pod madifications, specifically if it's a setting that affects just performance? Do we call Tony or Bill for help, or someone who knows how to mod pads?

Isn't there a modded machine nearby tho? I mean it would suck to not have this baby working at all times but I think there's that crazy modded upgrade cab that even has easy timing windows so you don't have to worry about getting greats ^^; I get so jealous knowing how many machines are just one state over *_*

I'm only going to be gone for a few weeks, and the pads were, as far as I know and have been told, perfect when I left, so there should not be any issues. The mods are fine and should not need to be adjusted for any reason. The only problems that might come up are related to the responsiveness of the sensors themselves, and again, you can call Bill's help line for that.

@RubberDude
I only know of one machine that's near me, and the only other modded public cab is down at Narrows but that's too far for me, having no stable mode of transportation. Playing with a looser judgment window doesn't exactly let you enjoy how well you actually perform, it's pretty much just bowling with the rails on the sides.
@Laura
I suppose pads are fine now, when we last checked them together and fixed the over-sensitive tape issue, I haven't been to ACME for a while because of work. They are definitely better than many default pad settings, although I do hope they are fit for playing stuff harder than 10s, and still being able to play 10s. If there is any issue with the pads, I'll definitely let Bill or you know.

have any regulars here taken notice of the round 1's construction progression? Just curious if anyone is as excited as I am. Last time I was at Southcenter they had started working on the elevator shaft but that was a month ago. Just wondering lol

Playing on any modified version of ANY arcade game illegitimizes your scores because it eradicates the existence of a machine to machine consistency and standards. That's why I don't play ITG too seriously lol. It truly is Stepmania in a cabinet :O
