I don't see joint premium being enabled. The vast majority of Acme players play singles, so that's basically cutting the ITG income in half. I think Doubles Premium is enabled because asking someone to pay $2 for one doubles set is a bit steep and Bill's a cool guy who is looking out for the players. I don't know, maybe Bill will chime in, but I can't see that one happening.

What I meant was keep it $1 but allow 2 people to play for $1. If most people are only playing 1P then the income will remain about the same, right? Or am I missing something? It's not like I'll play less because I get to piggy back on another players set, I just want to stay warmed up and not have to pay a dollar for songs that I'm not picking.

Hi!
RE: Machine settings, Gerrak is right on about joint premium. Right now, most of our players play singles with each other, so enabling it would effectively be cutting machine income in half whenever the arcade is busy. That would be a problem.
The main reason we have fail turned on is to keep the lines moving. This used to be more of a problem before we had imposed a song length limit, though. Since that limit exists, I'll strongly consider any arguments anyone wants to make for or against this.
Getting packs added is usually done through Tony, but he's been MIA forever due to work stress. I hesitate to fess up to this now because I don't want everyone to start harassing me, but I'm planning on taking that on too, at least for the time being. I'll keep you guys updated about this over the next few weeks.

Thanks for responding to my comments, Laura. Looks like I wont be getting joint premium, but that's ok. I'm excited about maybe getting fail turned off though. As another argument for this, I know that I'm always scared as heck to pick anything new from any D.O.W.N.S. pack unless it's 3rd song for fear of getting my face punched in by gimmicks. And I certainly would like to try new songs, I would just rather not have to worry about needing to pass it to get the full value out of my dollar.
And sorry for the confusion about Chris's! I was confused when someone I didn't know welcomed me back o_O

Sorry, but the current settings must remain. I will come up and stand still so you throw apples or whatever at my old ugly ass, LOL's
Yes, doubles for one credit is an exception we made, as it is fair. :-)

Okay yeah you guys sorry for missing this as I am on vacation, but as much as I don't oppose you guys talking about firearms or whatever you want to talk about as long as you're doing it civilly, it's probably better not to do it in the ACME bowl thread. Feel free to start a firearms debate thread in the off topic discussion section, though.
Back on track - I want to start a regular DDR meetup night at ACME in the near future where we all just get together and hang out and play and maybe challenge each other to matches and stuff. Is anyone interested and/or do any particular days or evenings work best for everyone?

I vote for Fridays because why not. The last few Fridays I went no one was there, so maybe this will revive the Friday atmosphere.

Fridays were actually my first thought too, just because they're open later and the majority of people don't have to go to work the next day.

So I full combo'd Gargoyle yesterday to ensure the pad indeed works as well as I claim for that kind of stuff, ~98.80. I can't hit 32nds at 150 because my ass is old so I got like 6 greats on those... but yeah everything else was great for technical stuff. 99'd Oasis also as FEC. No pics because I forgot and then was ashamed of my excellent count from lack of practice or an off day (respectively)... Try them out though if you were worried before.

Went down to ACME today to stomp some arrows. DDR machine seemed to be doing fine. ITG machine had a sign taped to it that said the left coin slot was malfunctioning. Played three games via the right coin slot and only lost one coin, but then the next attempt to play resulted in it eating three coins in a row, so I gave up and moved to DDR for the evening. Warned someone else about it and they tried anyway, with similar results (though I don't know how many coins they tried before coming to the same conclusion).
Yeah, I probably should have called Bill's number and reported it, but I was lazy. And it was about 9pm.

Oh snap, I should have focused on better reading comprehension here. I fixed the left coin slot because that's what the sign said. Didn't end up checking the right one.
I have a cold, but for now the left coin slot is GOLDEN and I'll check the right one next time I go, which could be as early as tomorrow night if said cold cooperates.

Hey guys,
We're trying to work out a solution for how I'm going to manage content on the ITG cabinet at ACME going forward, but in the meanwhile, Tony is going to show me how to load packs/songs and remove them this weekend, and I'd love to update the machine with more content if anyone has any requests. If you'd like me to add a pack to the machine, please provide a working link to that pack here, and also let me know if there's any inappropriate content I need to remove from it.
I'm gonna try really hard to be on top of things from now on, since I know that was a complaint in the past.
EDIT: Also, for those of you who are interested,
this is the site that we (Tony and I) are using to track issues and tasks for the ACME machine
. If you don't have an account you can't add tasks, just view them, so we're still taking pack requests here and working on a solution so you guys don't have to sign up with this site to be heard with regard to the ACME machine, but if you'd LIKE to make an account and comment on the tasks here we are totally okay with that!

Hey guys! Just a quick update.
We received the e-amuse readers and physically affixed them to the X3 cabinet, but they aren't fully installed yet because we're waiting on internet service and also need to do some drilling outside of business hours next Monday. I'll keep you informed about their status, but I wanted to post and let everyone know because, you know, suddenly there are readers.
I've also been told the ITG coin mech has been acting up, so I'm going to look at that in the near future.

Ddr had a board error when I arrived. I cycled the power and got an out of range error on the screen. Not sure what's up with it.

The ITG coin mech is misbehaving, I had issues with both sides but worse on p2. worked fine for the rest of my sets after giving the door a bit of a shove, though. I think someone mentioned it before.
I also had to power cycle the DDR, but no issues after that. P1 right seemed a bit dull when playing doubles.

Looks like I gotta get down to ACME ASAP to check on this stuff. It has to be Thursday because I have a million errands today and tomorrow (I just got back from Virginia.) Will go there around opening, though.
