I think some people don't like it because they got really good at 1.2 and the physics have changed a little in 1.5. Combine that with the most commonly used advanced technique being nuked, the records being reset, and the overall feeling that non-Japan machines aren't getting many features and you get a lot of people not liking 1.5. I think it'll be good, but that's just my opinion. People will get used to it, and they'll like it again. Definitely install it if you have the chance.

There is this exploit in version 1.2 that lets a person regain speed very quick by tapping break. It wasnt meant to be in there so it was fixed in version 1.5 many people dont use it, but those that know how are pretty much unstoppable.

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the area, just moved here for the summer for a job.
It'd be cool to check out the scene around here, so I was thinking of hitting up Acme Bowl tonight for a while for some games.  Be cool to meet some of ya if you're around. Cool

Welcome to the forums and the area!
I won't be making it tonight, but if you post a day or two in advance more people will see it; as some members don't check every day. Smiley

Heh, thanks.
And, you're right, I should give more notice.  Haha.

Soo, I was thinking about going tonight, but I won't.  I'll go tomorrow late afternoonish, I'm way tired from work.  Sorry if anyone was going to go out, but, I'll be around tomorrow most likely.

I think a few people are going to go tomorrow, seeing as it's Saturday night which is basically Acme's most active time.

We hope to get the new Street Fighter, but still working on that.  ID4 is already the new version 1.5.  Acme and Narrows are the first in the United States to have the new version as far as I know.

Sweet about SF4.  I heard the cabinets were costly.  I know the fighting game crowd would flock to play it.  I don't think the console version is out until like next winter.

I've heard they were as high as $20,000 for a dual unit. That could be wrong, though.

Attention Bill:

The P1 bar on Pump Pro is really loose. Really really really loose. I know it is a real pain to fix (from experience) but I just thought I'd let you know and see if you could do anything about it. The ITG P2 bar is also slightly loose, but not half as bad as the Pump bar. Also, the drummania hihat is very clunky, almost as if some screws were missing/not screwed in.

Other than that, everything is perfect!

Thx for the FYI's.  Yuk, that PIU bar will be a pig.  Probably needs welding.

Seemed like the 1st player (left) side on GF11th mix's blue button was sticky or otherwise not functioning; failed a level 15 song while trying to train my buddy on the game.

Also seems like the snare on the DM 10th is not registering very well; sensor may be getting weak.  Or maybe it just doesn't like the way I do my double taps.

Hey Chris,
Thanks for calling in the GF.  I assume that is where the service call came from.  Let me know if working well now.  The service report said "loose wire", so just want to make sure it's really repaired properly.

Hello Bill,
Don't know when I will get back to ACME but hopefully someone else can comment on whether or not the guitar's button is working.  It could have been a loose while; the button just wasn't responding.
Thanks again for the quick moves on that.
Best,
C
