Apologies for not coming yet to test the stage. I've had car trouble and been dealing with some lame drama. Should come out very soon (possibly tomorrow) not that those issues are resolved. From what I hear it plays great though, so I'm excited.

Played three or four games of single and three or four games of double on the ITG machine. Any difficulties were due to personal failure. I had no issue with the stage. (I also played one Single game on the Supernova machine, on the P1 side, and had no problem with that stage either.)

Good to hear that the stage wasn't giving you any trouble Nykkel, and thanks for testing out doubles! We don't have many doubles players at ACME so the few that do post here offer valuable feed back!

Yay responses:

Allan, are you intentionally being rude to Bill about this?
No, of course I am not intentionally being rude, but I did call in several times over a week's time and it didn't appear to show any improvement. Typically, as per the answering machine message, "service has been out immediately", but I figured it just kept being forgotten and I saw it as a reasonably urgent issue.

I'm only 130lb, so I'm generally included in the "lighter individuals" category
I'm 130 also, but we're
adult males
. Imagine if, for instance, a 95lb person you're playing with can't get things to register or, say, kids who are significantly lighter than we who are grown and predisposed to be heavier. I was calling on others' behalf, not my own. Though I was getting some delay on things registering also due to lack of sensitivity.

If you were having trouble because they were recessed...
I do play DDR almost every time I go to Acme still, so I'm still quite accustomed to DDR pads and style. Other parties involved at the time had not yet really started on ITG much.
But in any case
Quote
We did respond to the SN2 pad issue. Sent a guy out a week ago...
That's interesting, and appreciated. I was unaware of this and I apologize if I indeed did come off as rude. I still was having some problems a couple days ago, but maybe it wasn't the whole pad anymore. I know the left side's up was being bad, but maybe the errors were mostly or wholly resolved elsewhere on the first maintenance. Anyway I would appreciate one more look at that particular arrow and maybe test the whole thing one more time to make sure, and I'll be sure to give both sides a thorough look when I go next also. Thanks!

FWIW, I've been playing a lot of DDR (though the last time I played was about a week and a half ago because I've been in California) and I haven't had any problems with SN2 and I like the pads just the way they are. I weigh roughly 110 lbs.

i'm that 95lbs person lol
i sometimes have to hold on the freeze arrows with all my weight so it's a bit difficult
maybe if that were accustomed for all weights

Wow, a strange box showed up just now. What is it? Hmmmmm, hope we can get an installer to Acme tomorrow.
P.S, the thing in the box is confirmed working, it was getting a test workout in the SN cabinet at Narrows just now. :-)

Hey Tony, if you have time and see this post, would you be able to re-download my better synced pack and update the ACME cab's cache? Sorry for the offsync, thank you so much!

Also, the Sharpnelstreamz first pack may need to be removed the same reason the first SV pack was.

Don't removed Sharpnelstreamz! There are different charts in there that Sharpnelstreamz v2 doesn't have.

Apparently it's a big jumble of some repeated and some not.
Check out the post about the pack...

Hey guys!
At ACME right now and it is awesome to see the new DDR up and running!
One concern however, it is extremely loud and it is competing with ITG. I think both machines deserve to have the volume a little louder but this is ridiculous, haha! Is it a possibility to move either one of these machines just a little bit? I just think both machines suffering from this.
Maybe swap the ITG machines location with the Typhoon machine? That way, both machines won't be playing music directly into one another.
Just a suggestion of course!

So what version of DDR is running? I might go to ACME tommorow night and want to test it out!

Bill mentioned that Pump It Up was going to be leaving at the end of the month, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see the new DDR machine take that spot.

Right now, it'll be running DDR X3
, but if we can find some e-amuse readers it also comes ready to run DDR 2013 and 2014 (they're pretty useless mixes without e-amuse support.)

So with X3, what's the price and are any double premium options turned on?

It's currently $1.00 for 3 songs. Not sure about doubles premium though...

Doubles should only cost 1.00 if it's set up as intended.
the cabinet will move to the back when PIU leaves which is about two weeks. :-)

Someone should really get in and tighten up all the bolts and fix the feet on the PIU machine. I played on it the other day and it sounded like thunder from all the loose stuff. I tightened some of it by hand and it helped, but someone should take some actual tools to it.
Also, will anyone ever put some sensors on ITG's P1 right and P2 left at least to make doubles playable? I'll even provide the sensors if nobody has any extras, I've got a gazillion AM sensors sitting around here...
Finally, someone PLEASE adjust the DDR's volume just a bit! It hurts!
EDIT: PIU is leaving? That's unfortunate, it's a big part of why I go... guess I'll be spending more time on my own.

All 32 sensors have been added and are connected. There have been absolutely zero complaints about the sensors or the stage since the new sensors have been installed. Both Singles and Doubles players seemed to have no troubles with the stage after my team and I installed the sensors a week ago. A couple players were there 2 days ago and we had no problems at all. We had powder players with socks, and windex players with shoes all playing without issues, so I'm surprised that you didn't have a good experience with the stage. What exactly was the problem you experienced?
