@vyhd: Thanks. Everything seems to be 5x10^-n, but n is always different. So easy to mix them all up. As for remote access, I've been talking to Bill about that. There's a dark ethernet port behind the machine which Acme has already wired up, they just need to plug the other end into their router. Just need to get Acme to take care of their part. Then it's a matter of reverse SSHing into my EC2 server on boot, which is trivial.

EDIT: Debounce is back to 0.05 and the machine is a lot happier for it. I've set debounce in Static.ini, so it should always fix itself on boot from now on. I watched another player go from tons of pad errors to none before/after the fix and it feels good to me - if anyone else has problems, let me know.

Hey guys just posting to say that the player 2 left arrow is getting stuck. It's unplayable at this point. I failed a 9! Haha!

Not sure what the cause is right now. What I've noticed was that when the panel is taken off and I just press on the sensor it triggers perfectly or when I tap on it lightly. But when I apply pressure (normal step pressure) it gets stuck. I re-did the foam modding just incase it was the modding but it doesn't appear to be.

Any ideas as to what it might be?

Might just be time for a new sensor - I messed around with it a little after fixing P2 down when I was there. Specifically, I took out a couple layers of tape to reduce tension. I'll be back in the morning and believe I still have a couple sensors some place I can actually get to (moved a couple months ago and haven't gotten everything organized again yet). If I can't find any spares, I'll coordinate with Bill to restock as soon as possible and in the mean time, I'll rotate and disable sensors to make it work well enough.

Ugh, I was really hoping a re-mod would do it...

I rotated one of the disabled sensors in hopes that it will help but unfortunately it didn't. I have about 4 sensors with me, I'll try to use those to see if it will help tomorrow. I left acme so I can't do it tonight but I will see if I can do something tomorrow.

The Up, Right, Down arrows are working well at least!

When are you going tomorrow? Maybe we can work on it together?

Even with the 1P-side currently being playable compared to the 2P-side, there still seemed to be an excessive amount of false triggers and pad misses today with ITG.

Gonna have to double my focus on PIU for now, while those kinks are being worked out.

Tony and I are going to be there tomorrow to try and fix this problem.

I'm not entirely sure what the exact cause of all the issues are but we will make sure to fix it. I've re-modded the entire stage less than a week ago hoping to alleviate this problem, but came to understand that it was a debouncing issue.

Since the stage is still false triggering after the debouncing has been readjusted along with the stage being completely re-modded, I'm just hoping there is a solution to this problem.

As I mentioned before, the Up/Right/Down arrows on the P2 side is functioning well, it is just the left arrow that is unplayable.

I didn't notice any problems with the P1 side today when I was watching some people playing on it. I'll double check the modding to make sure that it isn't an issue.

Until the ITG 3 stage is fixed, I guess we have to stick to alternative forms of dance games!

P1 up arrow feels strange, but it's not enough to bother you if you aren't playing faster streamy songs.

Don't know if I should really mention that if it's not such a biggie.

I didn't have any issues with the 1p up arrow at all last night and I played from 3ish till about 8 and played a few 200bmp+ songs with no issue

I'm going this afternoon to try and fix this problem. I'm going to try to rotate some of the disabled sensors to see if that helps. As Tony mentioned in an earlier post, it probably is time for some new sensors.

Tony and I took a look at the P2 side today, and the problem still persists. It is near impossible to score, let alone play on them. I'm not sure exactly what happened but we tried to rotate a sensor or two, and removed all the modding. It was the left arrow on the P2 side that was getting stuck, even when the foam was removed the arrow seemed to release a little late.

I'm planning on removing all the modding and returning it to its default state.

If anyone has objections please let me know. But, as of right now the entire stage will have its foam mod completely removed until the problem I solved. We suspected the problem to be old sensors but I'm not entirely sure that the sensors being old is the cause. I believe I replaced all the inner sensors with new ones Bill gave me in August of last year, so they aren't terribly old.

So for those who got used to the flushed pads, be warned, they feel EXTREMELY recessed without modding! Lips sealed

The P1 side, although it is in way better shape, if you are concerned with scoring don't bother, it will miss trigger. Since the denouncing was fixed, that clearly isn't the issue but what I've noticed was that, anytime the machine glitches the stage gets affected. I don't know if the sensitivity was completely changed after the glitch, but nothing feels the same.

I'm planning on a undetermined hiatus from ITG, this is one of the biggest reasons why I'm going to remove all the foam since I'm the only one who knows how to mod the stage. I am not 100% sure as of right now, but it is likely that I will. Again, the stage will be revert back to default.

However, if someone is interested in maintaining the stage in my absence, I am more than happy to teach you how to mod the stage at ACME. But before I can teach you, please receive Bill's consent.

The only option that I can think of is rotating all the sensors and testing them. After we figure out which sensors are deemed usable, we would have to re-mod the entire stage while testing to see if the modding + sensors work well together. This will take a lot of time and a lot of money unfortunately.

This might be a good idea at this point. I would be in favor of returning it to an un-flushed state to compare the impact on how reliable the panels are.

It's a shame with all your guys' efforts that issues have continued. I do appreciate the time everyone's commiting to this cabinet.

Only problem I see with the un-flushed state is that players who enjoy Ian's charts or all of the Cirque Du ***** packs, or anything over 170 BPM will struggle to no end.

No more sliding of the feet Sad

I would say try doing a swap of a sensor on the 1p side to see if it could be that sensor but I don't think its the sensor. Chris, I sent a few buddies a message that own a dedicab to see if they ever had this problem and hopefully to get back some results.

Edit:@Chris - Brett(Flash) just messaged me. He said sounds like a bad sensor some where or a bad connection.

It's all good Jacob. Ugh, it is the time I have to invest into re-modding the stage, on top of having to rotate all the sensors that I am dreading. Going to take me 4-5 hours tomorrow, and the sad part is, I'm not going to know if its going to work or not. I have to buy more materials to mod the stage too...

Sigh, I will give it my all tomorrow to make the stage playable for everyone... Sad

Well, I don't have duty tomorrow but I don't know what time I will get off work. Text me and let me know how things go man and if push comes to shove I'll just invest on sensors. If you can give me an accurate count then I will hold some cash of to the side for replacements. I'm assuming its all the inner sensors so that would be 16 total for both.

Thank you so much Chris for all the work you've been doing. I wish I could help, but I don't have the time or the knowledge at the moment.

However, I would be more than happy to help fund getting the pads back to great and playable, and also modded again if possible. Just let me know what you would need Smiley

@ Hollie and Jacob

Hey thanks guys for offering some help! I'm going to try to fix up the stage tomorrow the best I can. I'm not entirely sure if it has to do with the sensors or not. Obviously, the best way to find out is trying to rotate the sensors, re-mod, etc.

Since I'm going to go away for a while, I'm trying to leave the stage at 100000%!

I know a lot of people who play at ACME enjoy the stage flushed and modded, but if modding is preventing legit game-play, I'm going to have to remove it. I don't want people to play on janky pads... I rather them play on pads that work.  Sad

I hope I can get the stage up to par tomorrow, otherwise it will be reverted back to default.  Shocked

Honestly, I've been wanting quit for a while now, haha! Abbye has been the one keeping me in this game thus far. It is hard for me to want to continue playing when there are so many issues that arise with the stage/cabinet/computer/etc., especially when I already don't want to keep playing. Because this cabinet is public access, we can't control what people do on the machine. Sometimes people stomp way to hard, sometimes people play with super muddy shoes, sometimes people stick gum on the panels, etc.!  Angry

It is hard to keep maintaining the pad.

Again, I'm probably going on a hiatus for a while!  Roll Eyes

I'll try to fix the stage the best I can before I do!  Grin
