Normally I would never think to bring such a thing up, but the ITG machine was left a tiny bit loud after the tournament. I don't personally have a problem with this, as I like it loud, but I suspect it'll be only days before someone at Acme mentions it so I thought I would preempt turning it too far down.

Anyway if its not too much trouble can we please nudge the volume just slightly down? As in just a tiny tiny bit. Its almost perfect, just a tad should do the trick. Thanks Wink

You hit that one on the head!  We got a call late last night to turn the volume down a bit.

D'oh! I must have been practically deaf after the tournament on Sunday. Sorry about that one.

mmm so now that Acme complained about the volume, the ITG machine is basically unplayably quiet, even with no one else there. I left part way through my second set. Thanks Kevin Tongue

Anyway I talked to Bill, he says he'll fix it, but lets be more careful in the future please...

Played yesterday. Volumes much better; was good earlier in the day when no one was there but seeing as it was Friday, before long the arcade was filling up and the machine again unhearable. This is why we need to be SUPER CAREFUL after tournaments... Anyway probably it's not very desirable to play after about 6pm due to other noise drowning it out, but so long as there's no one there it's fine. It would be greatly appreciated if we could just nudge the volume a tad up again so that we can again hear it when people are there. Thanks!  Cheesy

Also someone messed with the USB settings at the tournament and now it's inexplicably not reading songs that it was before, not only for myself, but for others as well. So what gives? Or how about we just not make changes to the USB settings unless someone who actually uses a USB is there to make sure things don't go awry  Angry

It's a bit late with the crisis going on in Japan, but we are hoping in the next week.

Oh boy, monitor is starting to show signs of a puke on ITG.  Please let me know status after you all play tonight.
Thx.

Went in today, that monitor is goofy! it seems as if the brightness/contrast was turned a little high, so even when u choose a song, you look at the blackness of the screen, n it looks like grey, for a second i thought someone put in a new monitor.

it didn't interfere too much, but it was quite odd going through the menu n whatnot. the color vividness n richness was worse than it was at the tourney, but it wasn't overly distracting like it gets to be on some bad ddr monitors.

I'll be in near 11/noon to start, to literally break records and break my physical limits on the machine Cheesy

Yes!  The kits just arrived, and are being installed now.  They will be off to Sakuracon next week, then to Acme on Sunday night just after Sakuracon.

Went in today, volume is excellently fantastic Smiley made it a good experience.

The monitor seemed much better and less grey and grainy than before, however, i have forgotten what it looked liked before its grey and grainy-ness that occurred last time i went. Thank you for the fix :]

Thanks for the update on SSFIV AE Bill.   So will we see the new game at ACME at all before Sakuracon or will they be at ACME for the first time on Sunday after Sakuracon ?

SAD NEWS:
ITG will not boot after coming back from the Con.  The guys set it up, and it would not completely boot.  Any possibility too many song packs went in?  Or any ideas?  I forget exactly what the error says, but you are welcome to plug in and watch the screen for the error.
I am not sure where to start.  If we send the board off for repair, I have a feeling everything special will be erased.  Any ITG board experts here with ideas, please contact me ASAP.
Thanks

Bill,

That's so weird, because it booted fine at the con and we didn't change anything after that!

Either way, as soon as Tony is around I'll have him email you.

The physical configuration of the computer should be the same as it was pre-con - I never had a chance to stick in the new hard drive (it's still shrinkwrapped and sitting in my living room), nothing is plugged into the computer that wasn't before.  In terms of internal changes, we added songs and nothing more (we were going to tweak the settings so that the default song isn't a hard custom edit, but I didn't get a chance to do so, yet).

This leads me to believe it's a matter of drive space.  We did reboot the machine a couple times over the weekend with no issues, but we were getting very close to the machine's size limit (we were SSHing into the machine and installing packs directly, since the pack manager takes approx. double the space [you load a zipped pack, ITG then unzips it on reboot, or something like that, so all of the data exists in two places]) which was maxing out the space.  If ITG has been writing to log files or something, we might used some space required for unzip of ITG 3 and Rebirth.

If it's just a matter of drive space, DDR Encore is a very large pack (~500 MB of ITG's 8 GB partition) that can be dropped for a few days until I have the new 250 GB drive ready to go.  I'd run down during my lunch break, but Acme's not open until 3:00 pm on a Monday, so I'll have to run down after work.  If it's just drive space, it's a 5 minute fix and I have all the necessary equipment ready to go.
