I was at Acme yesterday with Hollie and James.  I only played ITG2, but I saw the big screen problem happen.  (James did it.  Huh)

If someone wants to post all the unlocks here or link me to them, I'd be happy to enter them the next time I head down there, which will probably be soon.

Currently the machine has no unlocks available. Apparently you have to be rather quick at putting them in (judging from some posts on bemanistyle). I wasn't fast enough (trying to read pictures off of a phone and put them in slows things down considerably Tongue).

Like I mentioned earlier:
1) You have to do the codes in order, 1, 2, 3,...
2) You can't step on arrows before you start the code. Put coins in, put code in.
3) It worked when each note was on a beat, because in the code they're on each line, so it always worked when I hit each arrow as if it was a quarter beat note.
4) Once it goes back to attract mode, you're done. You'll only have time to get one in.
5) If you screw up, you're stuck until next credit due to the time, and that I don't think it resets...

People say that you can enter them all in one credit.  You just have to wait until the attract mode loops back to the title screen again.

Yes indeed, the monitor on SN2 was messed up.  The tech's got it squared away today.  Please let us know how it holds up.

Hmm, I didn't try that... It took several minutes before returning to the attract for me so I gave up and reset it (since I had access to PG's op menu when I did it).

Last night, the volume on ITG seemed kinda low. Maybe it was because it was super loud in the arcade anyways, but ITG was getting overpowered to the point that I honestly couldn't here a damn thing.

Thanks for the codes, Thunderbird. I inputted all 7 into the SN2 cabinet successfully last night while playing with Gerrak and got to try a few new charts (new to me anyway).

Took a couple vids of his scores but won't upload them until later today probably.

Glad that someone had enough skill to get those put in. I look forward to trying some stuff that's not familiar to me the next time I wander down there (since, unsurprisingly, there's a decent amount of stuff from SN2AC that's not on the US PS2 version).

So I have some requests.

1: The ITG machine has become quieter than it usually is. Honestly I think it's because over time speakers wear out, but it could be just turned up a tad.

This is because Rambo and the super bikes games literally DROWN out ITG completely when both are played. I understand fairness in the arcade, but music games kinds need sound more than other games.

also the ITG 1P coin slot does not accept coins. Today the slot seemed jammed so I pressed both the coin returns and the 1P slot spit out $2:50 out. I was happy

I just want to second what Kevin said.  The ITG machine is very quiet compared to Supernova 2, Rambo, and Super Bikes.  I couldn't hear the machine at all when people were playing Rambo next to me today.

Also, is there any way that we could move the dancing games farther apart?  The Supernova 2 is loud, and happily so, but when I hear the music on SN2 while playing ITG, I want to follow it.  (My heart is forever loyal to DDR).  Just a random thought =)

I should be up that way in the next couple days.  I will check out the ITG volume issue.
Yes, SN and ITG will get spaced apart by about 6 more feet, so that should help.  We are going to fit the new terminator game in between the two, distancing them apart.
Regarding Terminator, a new I/O board, and now a new computer, and still no workee.  Hoping to finally have it running later this week.

A DM replacement board is finally here, but is yet to be tested.  Hopefully it is a working board, and DM can go back home.

Hey Bill, since they won't put chairs in the arcade can we in the dance games community have permission to sit on the air-hockey table provided no one wants to play it? Obviously it does no harm to the table, I just get tired of hearing the security guards threaten to kick us out for something so ridiculous, and I'd rather not sit on the floor  Wink

They only have chairs in the Street Fighter 4 section  Angry

Hey gerrack,
I personally could give a crap if someone sits on the hockey table as long as nobody wants to play it.  However, it sounds like that is an Acme rule, so I guess you need to duck when security comes through.  Would a little folding stool be a pain to haul around with you?  I like those things, but yes, I am an old man, hahahaha.

Soo.. technically we CAN sit on the table as long as nobody is playing... Wouldn't this bring up an excuse to tell the people at acme?

Whether or not they'd believe you is one question...whether or not that would affect their response is another.

I've never had an acme employee tell me to get off because it breaks the game or anything, a reason is never given.  Some reasons I can think of are image/climate (related to loitering) and operational (with people sitting on the machine, it becomes a bench and not a game).

You could probably steal a chair from the fighters or sit over by the lanes or something

I agree.  Another reason is that little kids can be sheepish.  Sometimes, I see little kids look lovingly at air hockey, but they don't want to ask the scary big kids to move.  That's a financial loss for Acme, and I like to keep my arcade well funded. =p

And what are you kids sitting down for anyway?  You should be jogging in place in between sets!

Yeah you jog in place all the time I know... And I always move if I see anyone want to play, I think certain security guards just actually don't like the DDR crowd and single us out to pull that BS on. I've seen kids on skateboards in the arcade and security doesn't do shit so they can go to hell, I'm just going to let them know the owner said it was fine and cause more of a ruckus with the managers if they can't get that stick out of their asses. And sometimes I do grab chairs from the party rooms when no one's looking Wink But not always feasible

I really don't think getting into arguments with management over sitting on an arcade game is really a good idea...  I'm a bigger fan of "kill 'em with kindness", not scream at them until they discriminate more against the community and actually try and do something about it.

Why is this such a big deal?

Whoa..........
Thanks Triksy, agreed.  No ruckus needed over this!  We only provide the games, and the house rules are up to Acme to set.  Why not just get a little folding stool you can carry in with you?

Or fuck, sitting in the car is what I usually do for a break. Get all that noise out inside Acme and relax for a bit.

One time, Tony and I actually managed to hit a security guard in the head with an errant Air Hockey puck. Clearly, we just need to keep doing this - then they'll be happy with us for sitting on the table instead of using it. Problem solved!  Wink
