Looks like a new retro arcade is opening up in Clackamas, OR.  I don't know if it'll have any BEMANI, but still something to look out for.

With all the doom and gloom about the arcade industry in the last few years, I find it refreshing to see a new arcade (albeit, one focusing primarily on retro games) opening for business.

For now there seems to be a place for classic arcades.  I don't mind it.  I missed the original arcade boom, but remember the second coming of arcades when Street Fighter II & Mortal Kombat revitalized the industry for a bit.  But I wonder how long the fad'll last.

I'd be up for checking out the opening.  Good luck pulling me away from the After Burner sit-down cab though I might short out the game with my tears of nostalgia.  BBH, let's 1CC Golden Axe

Also.. looks like this topic should've been in the Oregon board, not the Western Washington one.

Moved to Oregon. Smiley

Isn't this classic arcade just going to compete heavily with Ground Kontrol?

I don't think it will.  GK is a downtown barcade.  This looks like a regular classic arcade with a different set of games in a different area
