The Bemani Trivia Game - Any Bemani game, DDR or otherwise.

Try to answer the trivia, using any means possible.

If you answer the trivia correctly (and show proof if it requires it) then you ask a new question.

The questions can be hard, easy, whatever - but they must be directly related to a Bemani video game, or something within those games. If a question goes unanswered for a week, I'll scratch it and someone can post a new one.

Close enough. And BluesS mentioned Alice/Emi and I mentioned Afro, so that makes 15. Disco, next question is yours.

Aaaaaaaaaight.

Name ten songs on Extreme that were not brought back as revivals at any point from SN1 to X.

I assume you don't mean songs that were NEW on Extreme? Because IIRC all the "new" songs that were introduced on Extreme carried over to SN1.

So, I'm assuming you mean songs like SO Deep, Twilight Zone, Copa de la Vida, etc?

A lot of New-to-DDR-for-Extreme stuff was dropped.  All the licenses plus all the good-cool stuff from EX and earlier (I think there's no DDR originals from extreme in that set, actually, so if that's what you meant, then, yeah you're right), so (from extreme only):
-Last Message
-Copa de la Vida
-Senorita
-I do I do I do
-Cartoon Heroes
-We will rock you
-We are the champions
-Irresistiblement
-Speed over Beethoven
-La Bamba (though they licensed a different version of the song for SN)

All I meant was songs that were playable on Extreme that didn't make it to any game from SN1 to X.

Almost right, can't count La Bamba (yes the version that's in Extreme) cause that's definitely in X at least. but you did mention So Deep and Twilight Zone as well so that's 10. Next question~

Ok I'm hurr guys. Stop capitalizing my name guys.

Name five songs with improper quantization pre-DDRX.

I'm not sure what quantize means, but I'll assume its difficulty was misrated? And if this is the case, are we naming songs that have officially been changed, or what we feel should've been changed?

Here's my crack at it, either way:

Heavn is a '57 Metalic Gray <---Not hard to pass, but really hard to PA
Witch Doctor <---That song kicked my ass for so long, I still think it belongs more in the 9s than at an 8.
Ska a Go Go on Standard <----seriously, the ending is nutz
Sakura <---Officially changed to 9
Bag <---Officially changed to 9
So DEEP <---I only put this here, 'cause "back-in-the-day" some people actually considered this worthy of being a 10. Those days were LOL.

I could probably find more, but I'll leave it at that.

No, that's not what quantize means, at all. Quantization is whether or not the steps are synced accurately to the steps. To be specific, it's 12ths/triplets done incorrectly.

HIA57 and Bag both fit that description though. Bag is a 13 on X for what it's worth, which is mid-range 9's, but it also had its quantization fixed.

Oh pffft I can probably name a large majority of them (pre SN...)
I'm going to interpret improper quantization only to mean intended triplets that are turned into x/64th notes, and not vice versa (e.g; ordinary world and kiss kiss kiss, which should be dotted 8ths) or just straight out wrong (e.g; mikeneko rock and dead end) or just what the fuck-ey (e.g; lovin you and electro tuned) or steps turned into 16ths or 8ths because fitting the actual music wasn't intended in the first place (e.g; absolute)

I can do 5 without thinking about it but I'm going to cheat and use a songlist and see if I can get most of them

(on extreme)
Across the Nightmare
Afronova
AM-3P AM EAST mix (has 32nd gallops that I think are intended 24ths. Don't quote me on konami's intention)
bag
Burning Heat
Captain Jack (has triplets in it and thus suffers from incorrect quantization)
Drop the Bomb
gentle stress
get up'n move
heaven is a '57 metallic gray
max 300
orion.78 civilization mix
ska a go go
tsugaru
twinbee

I hope that's all of them

then what I can remember for SN

ballad for you
centaur
doll
dragon blade
fascination eternal love mix
fascination maxx
healing d-vision
i'll make love to you
ifuturelist
konoko
matsuri j-summer mix
mugen

I owned this question, I'll think of something

Oh man I got a good one.

Name 5 songs that are in both DDR and ITG
DDR includes home versions
ITG includes 3/rebirth

I'm pretty sure there's more than 5 but I am absolutely sure of 5 of them Smiley

lol James, you literally named every song with a triplet in it, gg.

and I'm just guessing here but:
Ladybug
Little Kitty Mine
Spaceman
Typical Tropical
Nights in Heaven Days in Hell
Shooting Star
You Are My Dream
Sunshine (how did I nearly forget this)
Kiss Me Red
Bumble Bee
Touch Me
Mellow (in some capacity)
Tough Enough

and that's all I can muster without looking at a list

three of those are from my five.  I don't know if any other ones are in any DDR mix, but I guess I can look it up or something

the three I have that's on your list:
typical tropical (ITG2 and DDR Solo2000)
sunshine (follow the sun) (ITG2 and DDR 3rd mix)
bumble bee (ITG2 and DDR 4th+)

Was it too hard? Sad

I'm not sure if Touch Me was in DDR but I want to say it probably was.  I dunno.

I know tough Enough is in DDR Ultramix 1 for sure. that's it though....and the others people already mentioned. I can't think of a fifth... Sad

So if anything except bumble bee, typical tropical, tough enough, and sunshine in ethan's list is in both games, he wins, haha

I'm thinking he only has four... I have two more, get one of them someone!
oh yeah, neither of the other two i have are in ITG 1/2, that probably makes it harder

Well... this is obscure, but Vol. 4 from 4th+ has most of Popcorn in it, and Popcorn is in ITG Rebirth... I can't really think of anything else.

OH EXCEPT ETERNUS

ETERNUS WAS IN SN2 HOME WASN'T IT?

YES I'M AWESOME

Yeah!  Disco wins!

Here are the five I had.  Tough Enough makes 6, there's probably more.  If popcorn = Vol4, then it's 7+

typical tropical (ITG2 and DDR Solo2000)
sunshine (follow the sun) (ITG2 and DDR 3rd mix)
bumble bee (ITG2 and DDR 4th+)
temple of love (ITG3 and DDR Solo2000)
eternus (ITG Rebirth and DDR Universe 2 / Supernova 2 home version)

Yeah swt! I had no idea about Temple of Love, though.

Alright: name three (or more) charts on ITG 1 & 2 that were written by two people. just to make it a little tougher, name those people, too.

Does 2 people working on a chart mean they spent time actually talking about the charts they made?  Tongue
