i tried this somewhere else, it ended up being fun for a little while.

concept:

ask a question.  one person at random answers the question and then asks another question.  another person answers that question and asks another question.  etcetera.

retroactive question answering is discouraged.  snooze you lose.

seirous or not serious questions or answers.  doesn't matter.  generally people chose non serious questions.

if someone answers at the same time that someone else answers and thus there are two replies, that's okay.  adds to the chaos and the loose structure, and that's a good thing.

back and forth between two people only is okay but not as fun.  give other people a chance.

whoever posts the 573rd answer and question gets a prize.

Q: What's the last thing you said out loud to someone?

A: Well, you'll be better off than a philosophy major.

Q: I don't have a question, any ideas?

A: No so I'll just make a personal response to ethan.  I have to study ;P  It's coming along alright, I think I have over half of where I should be before Tuesday.

Q: Now I have to think of a question.  Does anyone know what ethan's avatar is?  It's always bothered me.

WHAT DUDE JAMES I THINK YOU'D REALLY DIG THE SHOW IT'S FROM

Q: Ever played the Dr. Who pinball game? I've never seen Dr. Who, but I can say in all honesty that it has the most annoying fucking pinball game ever made ever. Do all daleks talk like that? "AHH! AHH! THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING SOUND EVER PRODUCED BY A MACHINE BEFORE!! AHH! AHH!"

EDIT: A: Never played them.  I typically avoid pinball games based on movies/shows.

Q: Have you ever been chemically addicted to something? (no need for details if you're uncomfortable sharing.  By "chemically" I mean that there's a chemical in the substance like nicotine, caffeine, etc. that caused the addiction, so no game addictions.  Hormones count though)

divergent answer:

i grew up with doctor who.  most likely yes, daleks sound like that.  you can poke around youtube for daleks or doctor who.  it's the longest running sci-fi show ever, starting in 1963 and running to 1989, and has since been revived in 2005 and just finished its third series in the UK.

i remember when the pinball machine first came out, and i was super happy when i saw it at Ground Kontrol.

A: i'm very paranoid about addiction to chemical things, so no, i'm definitely not addicted to anything like that.

Q: what board games do you like playing?

Q: If you had a pogostick in your garage, would you use it and how often?

At DancingTofu> Nope.

As for Jurassic Bark, I also think that's a very bad episode to fall asleep too, and it's just too sad.  I myself like falling asleep to Family Guy better though. Tongue

What is your favorite animated TV series (outside of anime)?

Q: If you had a pogostick in your garage, would you use it and how often?
A: I'd mount it and get pleasure out of going up and down on it.  That's what they're for. Tongue
As for how often?  Every 10 minutes or so.

A tada: Eskimo Bob.
Actually, I haven't watched Eskimo Bob in years.  Holy shit!

Q: Claymation, y/n?

do you enjoy spending time with relatives outside of holidays?

Nope. My one living grandmother is a psychopath, and all my cousins live too far away to warrant hanging out with, and we usually don't see them on holidays either. Last relative I saw outside my instant family was my cousin at her Bat Mitzvah like three years ago.

Were you ever in boy/girl scouts or anything like that?

Nope.

Do you enjoy spending time with your relatives, period?  (Me: No freaking way.  I'm 20, the next youngest is about 50, the next oldest is about 10, and we have absolutely nothing in common, and the older ones seem to get significantly dumber every time I see them.  Seriously, no joke, one of them asked me a question, I answered it, I overheard others talking which would reveal the answer, and then they asked me the same question 10 seconds later.  I believe he even asked my dad the same question a few times too.  Aging's hitting them like a ton of bricks.  Worse yet, I've had to see them 4 times in the last 30 days.  My sanity is running at dangerously low levels.)

what would you do with 1million dollars :O

ChilliumBromide
Read July 08, 2007, 03:42:00 PM #267

Invest it until it became 12 million dollars, then. . .

2 hand-built ITG2 dedicabs (yay for being able to get modified copies of ITG2!) - $9000

That leaves me with 11,082,000

Then, I get a BeatMania II DX 14th Style Gold; 20k

Now at 11,051,000

Invest 2.5 million in stocks.

Still have 8,363,000

College. $200k

$8,349,000

Big fuckin' house in Pacific City; 2 mil

$5,371,000

Big fuckin' house in Vancouver, BC; 800k

$5,246,000

Put 4 mil into savings

$2,246,000

$1.5 mil to sponsor Ground Kontrol (get them a larger location, refurbish some of their machines, add to their incredible pinball collection, and get them some more of the rare retro cabs like Bubble Bobble, Warlords, and some good Shmups)

That would put me at 57k.

About enough to buy an old school bus, pimp it out, and pay for the gas.
(copypasted)

Q: What would you do with $10?

What is your favorite genre of music

A: I think classical piano or progressive classical.  I made those up.  If they're real, more power to me, I think what I have in mind is close to what I wrote.

Q: Try to remember all your yearbook pictures.  Which one is your least favorite and why?

If it didn't have to be a yearbook pic, I'd say the one on my Husky Card.  Next to that though, probably my 9th grade pic in the Skyline yearbook.

After a quick Google search, 6%.

Two answers, two questions.  How did you get those numbers, DancingTofu?  In the first step, you subtracted $918,000.

How long did the Hundred Years' War last?

A1: I'm curious too.  Every single step is incorrect, and in such a way that it isn't computational error.
A2: Wasn't it something like 116 years? I don't remember anymore

Q: Do you watch miyazaki films?  If so, which is your favorite? Mine is Laputa castle in the sky or whatever the english title is

Yes, I do.  I'd have to say my favorite so far is 猫の恩返し (The Cat Returns).  In what other film does a professional translator use "WTF" in the subtitles?  I have also been meaning to see Spirited Away and Nausicaa some day.  I think I may have them among my Sakura-Con haul.

Do you think it's possible to be clinically addicted to video games?

Tyrgannus
Read July 08, 2007, 08:52:42 PM #274

A: No, they'd probably label you with a mental disorder that makes you susceptible to obsessing over things like OCD but not diagnose you with a video game addiction.

B: Paladin or Shaman?

ChilliumBromide

A: Shaman

A2: Honestly, I have no idea where those numbers came from.  The only possible answer is that I copypasted from something I wrote at 2am. :/

not an answer or a question: Nausicaä is my favourite Miyazaki.  Go watch it.  Seriously.

Q: Shaladin or Paman?
