February 04, 2007, 10:43:30 AM - ORIGINAL POST -

Rules are here:

http://70.85.192.194/~loogsla/twg.shtml

We're going to be using a two wolf, one seer format.

24 hours to vote, 24 hours for a kill.

Post here if you're game. If we have enough people by the end of the night, I can send out roles and this this shebang started.

-Jon

Jon, the next game seriously needs different rules.
Including longer time limits for those who can't make it to a pc inside the small 12 hour re-vote window, or at least not counting runoffs for phantom votes, because this was NOT enough time for Tofu to reasonably have time to vote, compared to the earlier 24 hours.

We had a perfectly good vote going and you had to ruin it because one player couldn't sit on his computer all day. This doesn't make it fun for anyone, since our voting has pretty much been determined by a 12 hour limit, not any players still in the game.

I've always done 12 hours for run-offs in my games. I feel that's a reasonable amount of time.

For next game, phantom votes shouldn't be for unforeseeable events such as run offs that have shorter time periods.

In any split vote, you will never have a "majority" if one person doesn't vote, so any other following close games will be brought to a halt just the same as this one.

Well, to give Jon credit, the rules were posted plain and simple, just some of them were a bit hard to make out (since it was a long link to read through).  So Tyr and Tofu really shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place, since Tyr ended up not being able to commit (though to his credit he realized this relatively early on) and it appears Tofu was in the same situation (though unfortunately he didn't tell us).  However, I do agree that the run-off voting was perhaps a bit sudden and short, particularly after we'd all invested so much time into the initial vote; something to keep in mind for future games.

/rant

Anyhow, back to the roleplaying...

::takes a gasp of air::
preg_replace('/(.{49})/u', '$1 ', 'TOFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU')! preg_replace('/(.{49})/u', '$1 ', 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO')!

::stumbles around a bit from lack of oxygen::

The rules linked to state they get a warning their first offense too, not just the first phantom for not voting.

Oof, really? Ok I'm gonna check on that, but if that's true then...well Jon's the GM but...

I'm going to chime in even though Jonathan will probabyl kill me now.

Failure to vote should NEVER EVER constitute an autolynch, unless the resulting phantom results in a majority.  If this post affects the game in any way, I don't know what won't.

lol, the above post does not influence this current game in any way, and is approved.

That post is nothing compared to your other one.  I think all of us have stepped outside the realms of the actual gameplay for a moment and are assessing the rules, anyhow.

I swear to god the other one was nothing too, as I a) had no information and b) didn't hint at any information.  Any interpretation was made by you guys at your own discretion :p

IT was DT's second failure to vote, and he was warned. It's as simple as that.

According to these rules you're so strict to follow, his first offense is supposed to be the warning, not a warning for when he does the first offense.
And if you're referring to him being warned this last time in the run off, being warned requires seeing the warning.

A little run-down:
4 am Saturday: go to bed
10 am Sat: wake up
10:05 am Sat: go to party
5 pm Sat: go to arcade
9 pm Sat: get picked up at AC by mom, go to her house, where internet is rarely seen unless I bring my Lappy, which I don't bring to nickel arcades or public parties.
11 pm Sat: go to bed
3 pm Sun: wake up (I'd only gotten 8 hours of sleep between Thursday and Friday night; 16 hours barely made up for it.), eat breakfast, wander around, walk home
5 pm Sun: get home, do homework
6 pm Sun: eat dinner
7 pm Sun: watch 49th Annual Grammy Awards (Music. gj to the woman who sat in front of Prince.  She won, like, 3 or 4 awards)
10 pm Sun: go back to computer and finish up homework
11:35 Sun: Check didderfrick
11:50 Sun: check here; begin post

And also, in my argument:
Quote from: "my amazing self"
Which leaves everyone open for me, Tada and Lhet both slightly more suspicious than everyone else.
I'll wait to see what other people think.

Tada and Lhet were the only two I'd developed any reason to vote against.  One could assume that my vote in the run-off would go towards Lhet, and I'd voiced that already.

Also, my death will result in almost definate loss for whichever team I'm on.
If I'm a Sony spy, it's now 6:1
If I'm a loyal Nintendo employee, it's now 5:2

Lastly, I vowed to have a cool death 5 years ago.  xBoxes are not cool.  Therefore, I could not have done it.  I was framed, by the only possible suspect: DMN! (who's definitely NOT an employee of Dancing Tofu Gaming)
Seriously, I was a little put off by a couple of the Grammy winners, but not THAT much.

((This is all written in blood on the corpse's chest btw, so I'm not breaking any rules, this is brought to attention during the autopsy.  Also, before anyone says anything, this is the controller used in the incident:

[lol getit?]))

Has anybody actually been lynched yet?
It seems like all the deaths have been werewolf kills and AFK kills.
Seriously.
I'm against Cynic and Tada Because they have been the main ones voting against me.

They all have been either werewolf kills or AFK kills.  I think some of us are starting to lose interest.

Vote for cynic yes, not for tada.

Guys, I'm the seer. Basically due to ... well anyways this is the situation that if we don't get cynic tonight -the game is over. Well, assuming both wolves are still here.

I'm the seer. night 1 was cynic (wolf). I didn't go for him so he didn't catch on. Day two tada was stupid and made it seem like he was another wolf, which I didn't find out until last night was wrong. (night 3 - tada, human)

Night 2's guess was Alpha (human).

Humans:
Myself
Tada
Lhet (known wolf cynic voted for him, and never changed votes to give away another human)

Wolf (Confirmed):
Cynic

The other wolf is between Tony and Laura, who have both voted the same.

I guess I'm lucky Tada is still alive or both my human guesses would be dead "of course they're humans, they were killed at night."

I'm practically fed up with this "game" that we haven't been able to play so unless you other 3 humans (be careful of Tony or Laura because one of them might try to trick us and vote for cynic too) don't vote off cynic this round, the game is over.

Then it'll be a 50-50 between Tony and Laura, unless they don't kill me tonight. And the probability of me dying tonight is high because then you won't know which one to kill in the night. If I survive the night I'll know the last wolf.
I can't be 100% sure that the wolf count is still 2, but if one of the others Ty or Tofu was a wolf they would have probably played and not been killed for being inactive.

If cynic is the only one left tonight and he's gone - we win.
If we get cynic tonight (1 left) - we have one more day with 3 vs 1 to get lucky. If we don't then it'll be 1 vs 1 the final day, and I don't know how that would work out - auto runoff and the game comes down to chance.
If you don't vote off cynic (2 wolves) - humans lose as it's 2 vs 2
If we don't vote off cynic (1 wolf, cynic) - humans have one more day (I don't believe we only have one more wolf left).

I'm not voting for anyone but cynic. If there's another quick hurry runoff and I miss it my vote goes for cynic, or the otherwise first alphabetical if cynic isn't one of them.

cynic

PS: If this is the same ruleset next game count me out.

I'm the seer.

Even if you weren't voting for me, I wouldn't believe that for a second. No one would suicide this early and admit to only seeing one wolf.

I'm going to need to see some more votes and what people say this time before I make a decision... Don't want to potentially waste a vote on someone no one suspects.

I'm not sure you're supposed to do that, but anyways, we humans haven't gotten any play. we've argued and then people randomly died due to other circumstances. It's fine for people to get DQ'd for not playing, but that should not count as the lynch.........
Anyways, Cynic. (look at that avatar)

Edit@Blue
Yeah, I guess it's fine.

This isn't EARLY. This is the last day if we don't get you out.

Alpha and I were working together trying to get cynic last round, but he's obviously no longer here to help. Wonder why...

Just vote for me now cynic, unless you wanted to wait and do it in the night.

PS@Lhet, "not supposed to do that"? It's perfectly within the rules to come "out of the closet" with our roles, as long as you're not showing people PM's from the host. This way it's all my word and whether you believe it or not.

Whether BlueSS is telling the truth or not about being the seer, us humans have been at a major disadvantage, namely none of our lynchings have gone through. It'd be the equivalent of trying to find out who wrote obscenities on the blackboard in elementary school, and blaming all the absent kids, leaving the troublemakers to continue their reign of blackboard terror.

Blue correctly IDed me as a human, despite his prior doubts, so I'm starting to think I should believe him.

I always had a little suspicion against Tony and Laura... they appear to be making the very minimum postage possible to not give away their identities.
