I'm in 2 bands, Mayor of the World (MOTW) and Monolith Blue.

No shows until summer, but might as well give heads up for advertisement I guess.

Come support your fellow Bemani community bands!

I named the band, since I'm front man.

And yes, I was "inspired" by ITG, though I think the name just sounds cool period.

What do I play? The better question is what do I usually play on stage. I play bass, drums, and keyboard and I'm also singer, but for stage I stick to vocals and keys.

I'm keyboard player / drummer for MOTW (2 drummers, we switch off depending on the song)

HOLY CRAP MY DREAMS HAVE BEEN REALIZED! I HAVE A KORG TRITON KEYBOARD AND A G5 MAC WITH LOGIC PRO!!!!!!
GET READY TO DANCE TO THE SONG "KHAOS" BY TYRGANNUS ON DDRSN!!!

Not ALL of us are using sub-par programs and synthesizers. The stuff I use is completely professional expensive gear used by major record label artists. And frankly, the more people with a 3 octave keyboard and Fruity Loops, the better it is for the people like me that payed the astronomical amount of money for the REAL equipment because it raises are chances.

I've finally zeroed-in on the piece I'm going to work on for this. I'll tell you right now in case you hate this style that it's going to be a fast song with distorted ribbon leads (Kind of like Maximizer). Don't worry, I have the catchiest themes in it and the second I put the tracks together, I'm posting it up for you guys. Then you can help me on where to go from there (add a synth here, maybe a slowdown here, etc...)

Update: I am done with my first of 2 entries, Khaos.
*112.5BPM - 225BPM (Mostly 225 so I don't get the stupid 120 cut-off lol)

I've decided not to show my songs to the public yet. Oh yes, they're done, all 3 of them, but I'm going to enter them March 30th and then if I don't make it through on April 16th, I'll post 'em up for you peeps to hear.

Please post this song.  I can't wait to hear some completely professional expensive gear in action. Smiley

<----- Has a 3 octave keyboard and Fruity Loops.

@not red haired wes

FL with JP 8080 here, too. I wanna hear why your hardware is better than my FL.
If anyone wants the contest winner, PM me for the stepfile Cool

PPS: JP 8080 -> Korg Triton for "certain sounds" Cool.

Ok, I'll just write a new song then. I mostly DON'T do techno. Khaos had a cool feel to it (The song mentioned in the huge post Wes dug up back at DDRFreak), but I didn't know jack about how to use Logic back then.

So yeah, I'll write a new one for you guys, but honestly, I use my Korg mainly for rock.

We were pretty interested back then what you'd come up with, since you seemed to have a strong feeling that FL can't compete.

Well, I was more arrogant and less mature then.

Anyways, I've started working on the song. It's pretty cool.

150 BPM, Rave. Stabby with some awesome sweeps. Garage bass sound and a Pop/breakbeat drum beat to mix things up.

Song is called "Phoenix Flame"

It'll take me a few days though if I want to do it well.

Dude, props if it only takes you a few days to make a song.  And I'm sorry if I just came off as flippant in the previous post, and I'm looking forward to this song. You seem to have a concept and everything down, so all the power to you. I'm musically challenged, and I haven't made a new song in like 2 years, so you have a gift to be able to write music so quickly. I'm a little jealous to be honest ;x

Oshit I need to hurry up and get Fruity Loops I guess. xP

If I knew I was the ONLY one here who didn't have it, I would have already gotten it.
