Seriously guys, I think this might be it. We've known that DDR Freak has been in a pathetic coma for at least a year or two, but today I tried visiting the site and only got this error in return:
Quote
Warning: pg_connect() [function.pg-connect]: Unable to connect to PostgreSQL server: could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host "postgresql.ddrfreak.com" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? in /home/ddrfreak/www/www.ddrfreak.com/data/phpBB2/db/postgres7.php on line 80
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database
www.ddrfreak.com

OMG! IS THIS THE END!? IS THIS THE LAST LEGACY OF THE ONCE GREAT WEBSITE! WILL THIS CREATE ANY INTERNET DRAMA AT ALL!?

I emailed Jason Ko directly about DDRFreak.com and he said that the server has had some issues for a while and he just finished getting it rebuilt. He told me that he will be restoring it soon with a backup that is about 1 year old.
That's cool to hear. AFAIK, the site hasn't been modified since 2010 or 2011, so a 1 year old backup should be as new as anything on that site ever has been.

And....it's back. Rumors of its death have been greatly exaggerated (by me).

However, I can't seem to access any of the old forum posts. I wonder if these will return in time, too?

Well, good to know my login information still works.  I'm going to change my username to something more...mature.  I made that thing when I was 14.  I'm now 24.  [Wow I feel old!]

I wonder if you can do that here?

Yes you can. Go to Profile -> Account Related Settings and change it there. Smiley

I suggest you put your alias as "Formerly Da-Risin-Smoke", otherwise I'll totally forget who you are. =D
