Its creeping up again soon.  The wired will be back this year, the news and games list was just posted here...

http://scmb.sakuracon.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18398&start=0

  • Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME
  • Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA
  • Pop n Music 13
  • Guitar Freaks 11 and Drum Mania 10
  • Soul Calibur 2
  • Tetris Grand Master 3
  • Initial D ver. 4 with Link Play
  • Street Fighter IV

I'm actually looking forward to this year way more then the past couple of ones.  I'm happy to see arcade games again, thanks Bill for the support!

I won't be able to run a Pop'n tournament this year due to being in artist alley, but if someone else wants to run it, I could probably help at some points.  I just can't commit the time though.

If you want to read more about the event, just check out the web site...

Welp, that was fun. I purchased the ticket & low badge numbel for next year this morning, maybe I'll be good at some game next time.

Also, We really should have a BYOB or something one of these days, it's been forever.

I got back earlier today.  Had a good time.  Was busy at artist alley along of the con, so I didn't get a chance to hang out as much as I would have liked too.  I'm not sure if I'll do it again next year.

I was happy about the gaming this year.  I thought the Pop'n machine was a little quiet though, but it was no biggy.  I also think there should have been Taiko instad of Donkey Konga, but its alright.

Was happy to see some people, Kevin, Pantsou, Keby.  I watched Amber play Pop'n a little.

Does anyone know who the Nabeshin guy was that was playing Pop'n?

Ethan, I did get in the top 8 for you.  Originally seeded 7th, then a few people showed up and pushed me back to 9th.  I managed to beat Tada (who seeded 8th) 2-0 (we're actually really closely matched) to creep into the top 8, then lost 1-2 against Cynic.  If not for me doing ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE on the first song, it would have actually been a pretty good set for me.  42 on Yozoru no Muko, 7 on A (heavy), 13 on Spin the Disc.  Considering he seeded 1st, I was pretty stoked that I beat him on A, even though I beat most people on A. Tongue

Did that button ever get fixed?  I gave up on trying to play DDR after the rave because I was really tired and my feet hurt.

Good job Charlie! I'm glad you saved A for a tough opponent Smiley and 8th is nothing to balk at when your competition was that good.

Congrats everyone!

It was great to be at a competitive level at a tournament for once, since the switch from DDR to ITG things just haven't been as fun for me, but this was a real blast, every one of my matches in the tournament I had to fight for, and it was a great time. If anyone is interested in seeing a few videos, I have them up on my youtube - www.youtube.com/ddrcrono
