Hi guys, new to the forum. Sorry if this is in the wrong place to post this thread ^_^;
I just have two quick questions about Sakura Con since this is my first year going.

Firstly, I've heard that there is usually a pop'n music machine there. I was curious if there would be one this year and if there would be what version of the game it would be.

Second, I'm gonna be in Seattle for a few days before the con and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for arcades / places to check out while I was in the area since I've never been in Seattle.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

Hey. Welcome!

I don't think there was Pop'N last year, but Laura typically finds out from our arcade supplier Bill. She might be able to confirm at this point about if we'll have it this time.

The best arcade in the Seattle vicinity is probably Gameworks, right across from the convention center, which does have a good-condition Pop'N by the way.. 14th mix. It also has the only Technika machine in our state. If you're willing to go a bit farther out of Seattle, then Acme Bowl in Tukwila has basically the community's favorite ITG cabinet. Powerplay in Bellevue has a very responsive Pump Pro2 cab~

As far as other nice places to visit in Seattle...I don't go there very often myself, so I'm not much help in that regard < .<;

Will you have access to a car?  If you won't, some of these further locations might take a while to get to.

Haha, yeah in hindsight I probably should have mentioned I won't have access to a vehicle while I'm at Sakura Con.

Well i am pretty sure there will be no popn because that cab you see is sitting in my living room.  I was considering bringing it up but i cant afford to take time from work and drag it up there.  Its running fantasia and soon sunny park

Well that's a little disheartening to hear :<
Guess I'm spending all my free time and money at Gameworks this year.

Does anyone know if they fixed the busted down arrow on the 1P side of X2 yet?

The last I checked, X2 is still pretty much unplayable, as of a couple weeks ago.

M477 might have played more recently..

Last Thursday, when I was there, they were still awry. :/

I'll go check tomorrow...

EDIT: Yup...1P side has a cracked right arrow, and the other three respond about 50% of the time. 2P side is somewhat playable. AA's are attainable but really hard to achieve (got a low AA on Super Samurai EX 15).

Reguarding Sakura-Con is there going to be a DDR machine at all?

Extreme, as well as Tony's custom ITG3, and PIU Fiesta is the dance game lineup.  For racing fans, the only Initial D 5 in the area will be there, as well as Street Fighter 4 AE
