Hi guys,

I'm sure we're all really upset by last night's Paris attacks. I really wanted to do something concrete to help the people who were affected by these attacks, so I messaged Bill and he said it would be okay if I organized a DDR tournament at Narrows next Saturday to benefit the French Red Cross. I know this is short notice, but it kind of has to be.

WHAT: DDR X3 double elimination tournament. The qualifier will be announced at the start of seeding.

WHERE: Narrows Plaza Bowl.

WHEN: 11/21/2015 @ 1 PM sharp!

ENTRY FEE: $10.00. There will be no prizes outside of bragging rights since this is a fundraiser event; 100% of the entry fees would go to the French Red Cross. I will also include a donation jar in case anyone wants to donate above and beyond the entry fee.

Love the idea Laura. Perhaps a solid idea would be to set the entry at 10-15 with additional donations open for those who can contribute more comfortably. Smiley

Been a long time since I've seen these forums, that photo xD

Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Keep it to 10 dollars and then people can donate if they want.

I'd love if people could pass this thread around because obviously for there to be an event we need more participants! Cheesy

If you post a announcement on Facebook, I will share it with our page, and Narrows just said this morning they would like to share it to their Facebook page as well.  :-)

Bill,

I'll edit the original post to do a formal writeup of rules and stuff and share it today!

Thanks!

Only one person showed up to play so we didn't actually have a tournament, but a few people (isr, Travis Stern, Daniel) donated and we raised 170 dollars! Cheesy

I thought Chris and some others played at Narrows all the time. I'm surprised that no one showed up.
