DATE CHANGE UPDATE:
General Info:
Date: Saturday, April 5th
Time: 12 PM
This is a tournament I'm putting together and I'm extending the invitation to anyone who wants to come out here to participate. As it already states in the flyer, this will be an ITG2 tournament held in the game room of the Wallace Dormitory complex at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID.
Tournament Specs:
Double elimination will be in effect and the entry fee is $5 per player.
Seeding for the tournament begins at 12 PM.
There will be a qualifier song used to determine player placement within the tournament brackets.
Competition songs will be chosen by card sets which have 5 songs each. Each player will then choose a song to remove, leaving 3 songs. The players will then compete on these three songs and the whoever gets the best 2/3 determines the winner for that set.
Misc. Info:
Prize:
1st - 50% of the winners pot
2nd - 35 % of the winners pot
3rd - 15% of the winners pot
The ITG 2 machine will be set on free play for a limited time before and after the tournament for use by those who pay the $5 entry fee.
For directions to the University of Idaho's Wallace Dormitory Complex, follow this Google Map's link:

If you're organizing this event, you may want to consider postponing it to the next weekend. The 29th is the central day of Sakuracon, and event conflicts are a bitch.

awww c'mon. A lot of people have plans for spring break. I would definitely come if I didn't have prior obligations. Do you know how many people can already show up on this date? If there's not alot, consider postponing it. You'll get a few more people to show.

I'd come for the hell of it, even though I wouldn't win, but as stated earlier, it's during Sakuracon

EDIT: hmmm, it seems like quite a few people say that they want this date changed. I'll see what I can do. If I were to push this back one week to Saturday, April 5th, how many people would be able to come down to this thing?

I would definitely make it. I'd have to double check with my parents, but I'm almost positive I can.

If you have the equipment available, it would be entirely awesome if you could bring some stuff for Sakuracon. (I understand that this is on a cabinet, which you probably couldn't bring, but running a tourney at Sakuracon would be a nice thing to get your tourney bring running, and it would certainly be a more enjoyable con with DDR or something similar for me. [I originally was going just for the ITG2 machine, so I feel like I'm kind of tossing $115 down the drain at this point if there's nothing of that sort])
Probably wishful thinking, but it never hurts.
Also, I won't be able to come; I'll be broke and tired and getting ready for AP testing.

I've changed the tournament date to April 5th. I hope that this works for some more people.

Just a bump reminder that the tourny is this Saturday at Noon. I hope those who have the time can come on down to participate. I'm going to have lots of prizes (not just for 1st - 3rd place) and it should be a good time. I hope to see some of you there.
