So I got a thing:

Found it going for $600 at a place in redmond, all power to it was shot, total mess in pretty much every way.

A little bit of work, wiring, a few replacement parts, and throwing in a new computer later (the old MK3 still works, but I'd like to be able to play something other than prex3/perfect)... Cheesy

New monitor and pad lights are on the way, still need to order some new sensors.

Does anyone around play pump? There's a million and a half DDR/ITG threads. I don't even know where any other PIU machines are which are closer to Seattle than Bellevue.

Yeah, there's a ton of people who play around here. Keby plays a lot of PIU Pro 2, but I know KevinDDR is always playing it and I think NSX and Tuan also like it (though I might be getting them mixed up with someone else). I'm sure this thread will get them to voice up once they read it.

Btw, nice job on fixing up the machine. If you're throwing a new comp into that thing, can you run OpenITG in it's PIU mode? That would give you a TON of options on what you can do/play on it.

I play pump! I've been looking for a good machine since I moved here in January; I've had to travel out of state to play anything newer than NXA. Sad  How hard is it to get to your machine from downtown Seattle sans vehicle?

Awesome! The only place I've been aware of with worthwhile dance machines has been Acme.

I'm running StepMania 5 on it with a custom driver. I can already do anything I like with it. Smiley

I've got OpenITG on the there, but its pump support isn't nearly as good.

It's less than 5 minutes by car or one bus (180) from Seatac airport. Coming from Seattle, the 132 route runs by the next road. Currently it's not the best to play on due to the sensors, but that should be fixed within the next month.

Seattle Waterfront Arcade has been the spot to play PIU in Seattle.

Great find on that cabinet there, shakesoda!  Smiley

Fixed.  However, I hope you all could find that thread on this site without that link. Smiley

Apparently some people can't, because they're posting Waterfront Arcade-related stuff in the GameWorks thread.

Unless you're a tall freak show like me who hits his head on the beam directly above the pads on their PIU machine.

Shouldn't that be grounds for some kind of a lawsuit? They're being prejudice against giants, after all.

I should also point out that the Waterfront Arcade's Pump machine is in pretty darn good condition.

As long as you don't play nightmare.  The pads weren't connected to each other last time I was there and they started sliding apart while I was playing.

Nice purchase there, shakesoda.

I'm a fan of PIU as well, though I've pretty much only played Pro2.

Nah, like I said; I wasn't sure WHO played, I only mentioned some people that I thought played. I only really play PIU Pro on rare occasions, so I'm not really "in da know".

That's a pretty crazy theme you got there.  Source?

It's a slightly modified (dimmed flashing lights + fixed some errors) version of Luizsan's PIU Delta theme.

The codes are a little broken for changing speed mods right now because of an SM update, need to make him release a theme update Tongue

Yeah; I don't play Pump often at all.  Last time I played was two months ago.
