We seem to periodically get a lot of posts regarding the sale or auction of various music game machines. I thought instead of continuing to spam up the general music discussion forum, I'll just post any Bemani auctions I find in here.

BLueSS Edit: Frequently visit https://www.cyberauctions.com/index.php for local auctions in the PNW area.

A side question, how much would it cost to mod/upgrade this thing to an itg3?
This is not the reason one should buy a solo machine. EVER!

Got to agree. You want a custom ITG3 cab, talk to this guy, or just build your own out of some Cobalt Fluxes, some MDF and a nice flat screen.

Awesome, thanks. I wouldn't use those solo arrows at all, but if it had a load of ddr songs, i wouldn't mind it at all. Friend and i might split it.

That machine is pretty much a one of a kind. I really hope someone gets it locally and keeps it intact.

If the community wanted to pitch in to buy it as a group, would anyone have a place to store this?

I wouldn't mind contributing to a community buy, but I have no place for it.

I'd be up for throwing in somewhere between $50 and $100 if just to make sure it doesn't get converted into something shitty.

I've placed a bid for it already. I'm willing to throw in $400. I could put this in my garage for awhile if no one else has a place to put it. Tongue

I could make room in my place for it.  The insulation here is really good so nobody would care if I played it until 10 PM or so.

I would not make it an ITG.  That's a terrible thing to do to a Solo machine.  I might consider getting my hands on some other DDR kits so I could swap it between Solo2k/Bass, 4th +, 6th mix, 7th mix, etc so I can play the songs that never appeared again after those versions, though.

Edit: It would probably be Solo/4th+ a lot of the time, because as much as Max 2 is awesome, I DO want to play 6 arrow songs. :3

..if when Tuan (who lives a short drive away) goes to check it out and reports it to be pretty sweet, me too :]

If it went to Laura's place hypothetically, would you guys still have room for both Pop'N & that ddrSolo simultaneously?

First off, I'd like to note for those of you who haven't played on this awesome machine that I know it pretty well - it used to be at Narrows.  It's unique because most Solo cabs have two sensors in each arrow, making them less responsive than full machines, but this one has four sensors in each arrow because Bill modified it to make it like a full-sized DDR cab.  Lat time I played on it, it was in awesome condition.  It truly is one of a kind.

If I were to put the machine at my place, I'd find a better alcohol storage solution than the Cart o' Booze and put the solo machine in the entryway. 8D No bearing whatsoever on Pop'n.

What's up everyone. I got a Cobalt Flux for sale Smiley I've played on it a total of 10-11 songs but the thing isn't for my home as it makes too much noise downstairs. (my room above kitchen and living area) I don't wanna disturb my family while I jam haha.

The thing works real nicely! I can play well with just socks or shoes alike.

I'm sure you guys know what these things look like. But I'll post pictures when I get back from school tomorrow. I'm asking 225 or best offer.

Did anyone here win the DDR Solo cabinet of Bill's?  Or know who did win it?

I lost that precious machine =(. I don't know who won it, but I do know it was sold for $962.50... Does it not tell anything about the person that bids on Ebay? It does show the bidding history and all, but I can't find any information about the person that won. I could understand why they wouldn't show their profile.. I don't use Ebay all that often, so I'm kind of a noob.  Sad

"To keep eBay a safe place for buyers and sellers, member-specific information is not displayed in the bid history."

So yeah, you can't really see who won the item.

It went to a buyer back in Missouri.  A game for his kids I imagine.

Are those cabinets REALLY worth 3k? I never would've imagined that!

For a cab that is still in nice looking condition and has one of the later versions (and thus later hardware) I'd say $3000 is a good price for it.

Thats a really good deal for the version it is. The hardware alone would run you near 2 grand.

ITG 2 dedicab on eBay at the moment. Looks like it's a decent price. Not great, but not a rip-off either. Of course, having to pay ~$600 for shipping could make it a whole lot less appealing.

In other news:
Opps, I just read that this guy won't ship and he's in New York. So that probably means none of us would be able to make use of it.
Some guy used (what appears to be) AC DDR pads and has them modified to work at home. Looks goofy as hell, but if no one bids, it might be worth asking him if he'd sell it for ~$1000. If they truly are DDR pads, then this could be a kick ass option for some people who aren't capable of having a full-size machine due to space or financial reasons.

Lastly:
It looks like the price of DDR Extreme cabinets is finally coming down on eBay. People have been trying to sell these things for way more than they're worth ($4,500+) for the last year or so. I've been wondering how long it'd take them to realize that, during a recession, prices on entertainment hardware, especially a 9+ year old game, needs to go down. They're just now finally getting into the <$3000 range.

$2,395 - DDR Extreme

$1,700 - DDR Extreme

P.S.
$2,000 - DDR 4th Mix Solo
Every time I see a solo machine I giggle. They're just so ridiculous IMO. Don't get me wrong, I've played on them and have enjoyed it. But they just look so goofy.

DDR Extreme w/ 3rd Mix marquee currently going for $2,150. Even if you include shipping costs, this ain't too bad.
