There is a new website called Beatspace.net, which looks like it could really change the DDR/ITG community.
You can join up, find machine locations, create locations, create teams, see who plays where, and find people from all around the world. The hope is that the website will bring back the dance community that is slowly dying off.
Please visit
http://beatspace.net/Default.aspx
and join!

I contacted admin, hopefully the bug/error will be fixed shortly. I'll let you know. However I would say try again, could have just been a temporary problem at that time.

could be tricky
Aerik says:
Yeah basically there's issues with japanese postal codes
Aerik says:
but if she could give me the exact code she used that it'd be very helpful
Phylicia, do you have the exact postal code?

First of all, thank you to all who have registered. Your feedback is being used to improve features and fix existing issues.
xexy, the issue you were having related to the length of text being entered into either the "Hours" or "Notes" field. A partial fix has been quickly implemented thanks to your report; however, keep an eye on the length to prevent your text from being automatically trimmed.

A new site update has been deployed which fixes all known issues. Feel free to create new locations and tell your friends.
phylicia, please try omitting the hyphen found in japanese postal codes. (e.g. 1001301 instead of 100-1301)

Site's pretty chill. All you Portland Peepl need to get on and register with Team PoOR. We've gotta be bigger than NRG!

Hey, thanks all for checking out the website and signing up. If you haven't done so yet, beatspace.net encourages you to. Please keep checking the website for updates and please let us know what we can do to change/fix/add to the website. The more people we can gain, the more we know what people want. Thank you

Site's pretty cool man. Posted a link on AIJ just now and am expecting huge windfall of signups.
Also Charlie that pic you used for our team is pretty ridiculous.

So yeah, this website is wonderful, but there are a few kinks that really, really need to be worked out. They are all related to time.
For some reason all the comments posted on my page are listed at around 12:30 PM despite my notifications for them being at various times. That's no big deal. This is:

Rocky Mount FEC1
When: 12 Minutes
Where: Rocky Mount, United States
Oh. Cool. I guess this ticket for December 30th and the return flight on January 5th is pretty fucking useless. Where's my teleporter?
And yeah I can't find a feedback page on that website so I'm posting it here. :/

You can report it with the "contact us" link at the bottom.
However, I will report this immediately so it can be fixed, thanks and sorry for any inconvenience.
!EDIT!: Can we have a screenshot of your problem?

yes
It was 12 minutes before, now it's 30 days. It's supposed to be from January 2-4. The top event keeps changing from 1 hour to 3 hours.
Obviously since I know the actual date this isn't a huge inconvenience but I'd feel bad for anyone that's planning for Rocky Mount thinking there's a date change.

This site is great! I'm glad I posted the link on AIJ, I think you guys gut about 100 new members that way.
Looking forward to the score tracking. What games will be compatible?

Thank you for what you've done to help out discovolante. You've been very impactful. It's been a very exciting and hectic time for all of us involved, but worth every bit to provide a valuable service to the community. The first phase of score tracking will be an automated system for ITG and ITG 2 that no other site to our knowledge has done before. We are still in the design phase for DDR games but that will come as well. Pump Pro will get an automated system very similair to the ITG system. Also, what we're working on for the near future is extremely exciting but we can't reveal much yet. All we can say as this point is that it involves the arcade successor to ITG and completely internet based score tracking. No more need for USB drives. There are many other non-score tracking related features coming as well. We've got a lot of work to do

I tried to do it without the hyphens but it still didn't work. I just registered using my permanent location in the US since I'll probably be the only user in the boonies of northern japan anyway...

We will also be working on "trophies/achievements" to show off in your about me section (may have a separate trophy field later).
Some examples:
1st quad
10th quad
25th ""
1st AAA (we want to continue to promote that this is not just for ITG)
10th AAA
Etc.
1 year dance game veteran
2 year ""
There are several other ideas, don't want to spoil them all yet.
http://beatspace.net/Profile.aspx?uid=25
Those are examples and not final at all...just something to chew on for a bit
