Summary: How to obtain hidden songs for IIDX
All information is current for beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER.
Basic Unlocks
There are five LEGGENDARIA charts that are silently unlocked. These are unlocked in order by meeting a certain number of the following conditions:
Obtain 2000 DJ Points Defeat 100 opponents (or 1 hidden opponent) in Tsujigiri Battle Defeat the first opponent in STEP UP Obtain a total of 200 points for MY NOTES RADAR Play all three songs for "Today's Featured Songs" five times Complete 1 bingo card
Unlock order (all LEGGENDARIA charts): Hitch Hiker2 Love is Orange Journey Arabian Rave Night お米の美味しい炊き方、そしてお米を食べることによるその効果。
召しませ！BISTROVER This is the first main unlocking event.
During play, you may notice icons (aside from WEEKLY and Today's Featured Song) showing up on the version folders. Playing a song from one of these folders will add that icon to your collection (I'm not entirely sure what these do yet, but they seem to influence progress). If a song in the RECOMMEND folder is in one of the version folders, the icon will also be on that song in the RECOMMEND folder.
After each credit (1 player only), a location list will appear.
Each location has three meal cards. These will need to be filled to continue on. Each card shows what unlocks it has, though each card must be filled twice to clear it. Upon selecting a card, you will spin a wheel, this is done with the turntable. Green is best, yellow is OK, red is bad. If using a DJ VIP PASS BLACK, the wheel will be changed and a significant bonus will be granted. After the wheel is spun, progress will appear on the card.
When you reach a N, H, or A record on a card, you will be given the list of songs for that location to unlock. Hitting a MOG icon will award MOG.
Bistro Landing
Upon every credit spent, a Bistro Ticket will be earned. Up to three can be stored. This occurs regardless of mode or stage selected, and can be obtained on both the J and U versions of the game.
Once three tokens have been stocked, the Bistro Landing category will appear in Extra Stage. For us at Round1, this can only be done on the U version Lightning Model cabinets. In order to access Extra Stage, the following condition must be fulfilled (requirement is based on difficulty of the Final Stage song):
Level 8 or higher: Simply clear the song. Any clear level (including Assist Clear) is OK. Level 7: Clear the song with 100% on the Groove Gauge. Note that this does not change if using HARD or EX-HARD, so be careful! Level 5 or 6: Obtain a Full Combo on the song. Level 4 and below: Obtain a Full Combo with 0 Goods on the song (known as a Perfect Combo on the PS2 games).
If playing on Double Play, the level numbers are 1 less (level 7 songs only need to be cleared).
If using DJ VIP PASS BLACK, level and clear status do not matter, Extra Stage will be accessed regardless (though you do still need to actually clear the song).
Once Extra Stage has been obtained, Bistro Landing Location folders appear for all active Bistro Landing songs. Picking a song from one of these folders and clearing it will earn a Bistro Stamp for the song of the folder. Earning 1, 2 and 3 stamps will unlock the charts of the song for normal play. Earning 5 stamps will award 100 V-Discs, this will stock a DJ VIP PASS BLACK that can be used at any time. Earning a Bistro Stamp will use up the three Bistro Tickets. If the song is failed, or a different song is chosen, the Bistro Tickets will remain for the next play.
Picking a song from the main Bistro Landing folder will count toward unlocking that song. However, picking a song outside of the unlock folders, even if it was listed inside one of the folders, will not count toward unlocking anything.
Unlocking old songs Most songs from HEROIC VERSE that were not automatically unlocked in BISTROVER can be unlocked from the website. This requires a basic e-amusement subscription. Access Bistran Guide (lower right under BISTRO, or at https://p.eagate.573.jp/game/2dx/28/room/a_index.html). Charts that you don't have will be displayed first, along with their MOG costs. To unlock a song, click the button under it, then click the button on the left (the right button will cancel). Upon confirming, the MOG cost will be deducted.
Some songs (such as FLOOR INFECTION and multi-game unlock event songs) cannot be unlocked this way. Songs are occasionally added to this section.
