Considering something different with K-con DDR. . .

What I'm considering, because Kumoricon is offering almost no prizes for my event and I've only managed to get in touch with two of my potential sponsors thus far, is having the DEMON, MANIAC, and TRICK tournaments run as preliminary single-elim tournaments with a $10 prize for first place for each one, and a free VISO for the rest of the top 4 for each tournament.  These would serve mostly to let everyone get all buddy-buddy and form teams for the Team tournament, which I can then focus all of my energy on until it concludes.

Let me know what you think of this idea (as is, I can't get real prizes for all 4 tournaments without sleeping with someone important), and vote in the poll ASAP; preferably no later than August 13th.

Well, this topic was for kcon 2008, but i am 99.9% sure i will be running kcon ddr, and sak2010 badges would be very cool to have, or even just a discounted rate for the whole team if that happens this year.

Practice makes perfect.  But I'd rather be great. ;]

I could try to score a sak 2010 pass or two for you if you really need prizes...

"Someone important" refers to importance to the con, meaning I'd have to sleep with the treasurer, the con chair, or the programming manager.  No thanks. :[

I'll be following up with Stuff and VISO later this week and hopefully getting a hold of CD Gamexchange and Cedar Canyon Bottled Water.

So let me get this straight, you could sleep with someone important *and* get prizes for it, yet you are hesitating?

Get to it, man.
