This has been my point all along - do we NEED an arcade to meet up face to face? What about just having a weekly forum gettogether somewhere public? It's not like just because you talk to someone over the internet FIRST you're never going to meet up with them in person... my first exposure to the Bemani community was online, and I've made some lifelong friendships with some of those people. Smiley

All of the close friends that I still have now were people who I talked to regularly both online and in person, to the point where I often can't deduce where I "met" them first. Smiley

which is why you have your little get togethers at your place, and I still have to go to one. I want to play Pop'n Fever D:

As soon as Kevin scores me a new blue button, and I figure out why I keep blowing monitors, I'd totally be willing to have a pop'n gathering here. I have a Fever machine in my kitchen. We can have a 100 second kitchen battle! You know, since Gameworks sucks and all.

I don't have any ASCs, but Tony and I do have every IIDX from 3-Happy Sky, so if anyone who doesn't own them wants to come try, I'm sure that'd be cool.

You own a Fever cabinet?  That's awesome, where do you even go to order stuff like that?

If you ever do organize some kind of meet up, I'll totally bring my FP7 with me.  Can't be anytime soon though until I get situated in Tacoma.

Gameworks is my only option for some decent Pop'n action, and that probably won't work out either when I move away from the ferry docks.

I've also been getting really addicted to Drummania lately, although I'm still stuck in the mid30s-low40s.  I'm quite bad at it, haha

I'm actually going to stop by Gameworks tomorrow; I'll probably arrive around 12:30-ish.  But yeah, I've heard plenty of great stories regarding gameworks, but it's a whole lot better than the arcade where I live.  Kitsap Mall Silver Coin has Percussion Freaks 4 and both the far left and far right pads are completely dysfunctional.   Aww yeah

edit: and yeah, Mike was the guy that referred me here.  I'm late to the party, not even knowing this site existed and I've lived in WA state for way too long now.
