Shocked I was walking this morning in the city, and I found a place called "Gameworks". I played like 2 games of SuperNOVA, but the pads are... not so good, so I went to play DDR USA!

I wanted to know about the people that plays here and where do they meet to play! ^^ I want to take pictures for my friends in PR, and play with some of you guys!... please let me know about the places were I can go to play. Thanks!

I'm staying in Crowne Plaza Hotel.

I'm pretty sure people will go this weekend on Friday and Saturday. Those are pretty good days if you want to get a feel for how large the community is here. Acme Bowl is right next to Southcenter Mall which is pretty hard to miss. Once you get there, just look for Andover Park West. That's the road that Acme is on. It has a huge sign that says "Acme Bowl", so I'm sure you'll find it. If you're interested in Pump, you might wanna check out the Waterfront Arcade in Seattle. It's at the Bay Pavillion, which is along the Waterfront at pier 57. I'm having major health problems right now so I can't play DDR, but I'll go to Acme or Gameworks anyway since they have Drummania and Pop'n Music which are two of my favorite Bemani games. Acme has a really good DDR Supernova, along with Pump It Up Pro and ITG2 (dedicab). The pads are always really good, since Bill (the guy who owns the machines) posts on these boards (as mvco) and listens to people's complaints.

cool then! ^^ So, I'll do my best to go this friday to acme bowl, because I'm going back to PR early this saturday. Tomorrow I'll hit Gameworks early... like 11 to 12, and then I'll go to Seattle Center Arcade, because there is a 5th mix there, acording to ddrfreak...?

I need to know wich bus do I have to take to go there (acme bowl) and returning to my area (crowne plaza)

If you're referring to the Seattle Center arcade as in the one right by the space needle, I have good news for ya. DIRECTIONS!

Walk 0.2 miles South East from the Needle, and get on bus #16 going to down town Seattle. The stop is on the corner of 5th Ave north, and John St. Get off the #16 at 3rd ave and Pine st. or downtown(where you'll see all the buses) it should be one of the last stops.

Walk 0.1 Miles South East and get onto bus #150 going to Auburn. You ride this bus all the way to Acme bowling alley. You'll get to this gigantic mall, in the corner of the parking lot you'll see a Bahama Breeze. If you pull the cord here, it will let you off the bus after it goes around the mall, past Acme(which will be on your left), and just about 50 yards down the street. You can take the 150 back to down town Seattle, and from there you'll be able to get back to your hotel no problem.

Unfortunately I won't be able to come meet you, but my name is Tom. And I'm in Okinawa Japan right now.

That's more like it! Thanks man! and nice to meet you, too... is a shame that you're in japan right now, but maybe, I'll come by, in some other ocation... I will let you know.

So, I will be at GW at 11 to 12, and then, I will walk to the space needle, to get that bus.

How much are the buses??

Metro buses, for adults(18+) I believe, last time I was home, were $1.50. But when you get on, you get a transfer, and can ride buses(provided they cost the same amount as your original fare) for free, or else just pay the difference and get a new transfer. So to get to Acme, and then back, assuming you're staying at Acme and playing DDR, ITG2, and Pump Pro for awhile, it should cost you $3.00 round trip.

Oh yeah, and if you're going from Game works straight to Acme, you don't have to walk to the Space needle to catch the #16. I just suggested that, because below the needle, they have an arcade with an old mix. When I played there it was 50 cents for 5 songs I think? Almost all the buses in Seattle end up going down town. So as long as you get on a bus going downtown, it should be easy to make your connection with the #150.

Make sure you get a bus schedule too. They're right behind the driver, and they're for certain bus numbers. I'd grab the 150 to figure out what times the buses will leave from Acme. But if I remember correctly, on Saturday night, they run till about 2 am to Seattle.

Ok then, if I get a bus near game works, what bus should I take then?

oh, and another thing... How long does it takes to get to Acme Bowl, from here? I'm not alone, and I'll have to let my dad know...so Roll Eyes

Both the #150 and #16 u can catch on 3rd Ave if I remember correctly.  You can catch #150 on 3rd & Pike (going southbound), and as for the #16 it's either on the opposite side where u catch #150 or it's on 3rd & Pine going the other direction. (Someone can enlighten both of us if I'm wrong Tongue .)

#150 takes roughly a half hour to take to Acme from downtown.

#16 takes about 10 minutes to get to Seattle Center (other alternatives include #1, #2, #3, #4, #13, #15, #18, etc.)

PS: sup man Cheesy

Pretty much; you can either go to Pike St. or Spring St. to catch it.

I might be down at Acme on Friday evening. Hope to see you there! Grin

My cell phone is out of battery, and I can't contact Amber (that's the only cell phone that I have). I've send her a message on AIJ, about how we are going to do today, but she haven't answered yet. I'll try to find a cell phone to call her, or, if someone can do me that favor, it will be very appreciated. Grin

Well... I think that I can't go to Acme Bowl today, because of the weather... I don't want to take a bus over there with this rainy snow thing that they anounced in the news. I will go instead to Gameworks, that is nearby my hotel.

Hey there Carlos,
Glad you found the site and were able to meet up with some of the players from the area. Amber and the crew you hung out with are definitely a cool group of people. And this weather is really bizarre for this time of the year. We think it's pretty cold too. Tongue

Hehe, I enjoyed my time in Seattle, and hopefuly, I will come back on November-December. If I can come, I definitely want to know everyone that I haven't had the chance to meet before. Grin I like Seattle, and I like the people from there.

I will be posting on this forums for a while now, so, if I'am able to come back, I'll let you guys know!

If you thought it was cold during April, wait until you're actually there in Winter. It'll be a lot colder. But not as cold as January.

It's 36 degrees today, and it snowed over the weekend. It doesn't really get much colder except when those cold fronts from Alaska sneak up on us.

Actually, depending on when you might come in July, I might be there. I'm planning on going to a friends wedding in San Diego, he wants me to be the best man. Anyway, I was gonna stop in WA and visit for awhile. The wedding is the 27th, so most likely I'd be in washington maybe from around the 16th to the 21st. We'll see, I haven't gotten tickets or anything yet.

Also, I didn't know it was that cold in WA right now, that is really weird. But I can say the coldest I've seen it get would be around 13 degrees at night in the Tacoma area. But during the day, the coldest after it warmed up was probably high 20's.
