November 17, 2014, 08:49:36 AM - ORIGINAL POST -

Hi everyone, I wasn't sure where to post this as I didn't see an introductory forum, but wanted to introduce myself. My name's Tim, I'm from Texas, but I'm wanting to move to the Seattle area soon!

Some of you met me a few weeks ago when I was in Seattle for vacation. I got some good games in at Acme Bowl, which helped me realize how rusty I was.

Anyway, I finally decided to make an account on the forum so you'll probably see me around from time to time. I can't wait to get out of this boring town, and hopefully early 2015 I'll be able to see you all in person after I move! Nothing's set in stone yet though as I've still got some things to plan out and wrap up here.

I did however order a new dance pad after finding out about the Omega line, so I'm really looking forward to play again and hopefully will be a lot less rusty once I'm able to make the move! I went ahead and got the 9-panel pad as I really love Pump and always wanted to play from home, and also want to dabble in the dreaded TechnoMotion style (8-panels on one pad).

Hey Tim. Nice to see another peep interested in TechnoMotion ~
Would be happy to meet up for dance games (especially Pump) when ya move over here in '15.

I'm more than interested. I want to make it an actual thing that people do more competitively. Let's just say I am writing some... software. We'll see how things go. Cheesy

Definitely! I got to play on an old Pump machine in our local arcade for a while, and really loved it, but it was lacking higher difficulty charts (that were good/fun). I'm really itching to dive into some Pump Pro charts on stepmania.

And while we're on the topic, if anyone has any good Pump/Techno noteskins for StepMania 3.95, I am currently looking for a set. All I have are the default noteskins I was able to dig up, and they are glitchy, leave ghost spots on holds, and don't display rolls correctly. Something closer to ITG/PumpPro looks would be great.

On a related note, I'm glad I gave the Simply Love theme a whirl. It's awesome. Grin
