oh yeah, beer is being served now. they check ID after 10pm and if you're 21 or over you can get a wristband that lets you buy alcohol. i don't know if that's a weekend thing or not. you can walk around with your drink too.

it was $6 for a pint of negra modelo though :/

I don't know if its common knowledge, but the OP should be appended to let people know that eamuse maintenance happens everyday between 1p-3p.

It was mentioned in the thread, though it would be a good idea to note that.

Take note that Japan does not observe DST, so that window will likely change when we move in and out of DST here...

(EDIT)Round One just posted to their FB page that Tekken 7 is available for a limited time.

Well, I'm back again with e-amuse / Initial D cards news!

I just called in, and they said they are both in stock. I'm heading down there soon, see you there.

What's the price on eAmuse passes? I kinda already purchased one from an eBay seller but I was just wondering what the prices are here just in case I get one for a friend.

Not bad, if this one that I bought doesn't work out then I won't have to spend too much on a replacement. I think I bought a Technika 2 card at Gemini for $10 or so.

Went in tonight; bought a card and it worked no problemo.  Being able to plant jewels and then harvest them for stickers that say "LOVE" and other random phrases sure is the ultimate Drummania experience!

Oh the song tracking is cool too.  Not certain what to do with the QR code but I guess it must unlock a song if I go on the bemani e-amuse website.  I'll have to play around with it a bit.

Still not certain how to get extra and encore though; i dont seem to get any extra stages even with the e-amuse pass and even when I get three S ranks in a row.  I guess just like long versions, this is dependent on the "pesali" currency which is disabled in the USA?

I found my way down here earlier today, and proceeded to get my ass handed to me by IIDX (been ages since I've played AC IIDX and it kinda showed >.>). I saw someone else there who was playing 10s, though I haven't the foggiest idea who it was.

(EDIT)I spotted a House of the Dead 4 machine there, which isn't listed in the arcade info. Don't know what the cost was though.

Stopped down there around 9:30 this evening and picked up an e-amuse card.  When you do this, look at it before you leave the counter, and make sure it is a grey card that mentions Konami.

After waiting in line for 10 minutes to get to the register, they gave me a white Namco/Bandai card that was named something like "Banana card".  Obviously, this didn't work.  I waited in the line again to get back up front and grumble that this clearly wasn't an E-amuse card, and got a "whoops!" and they replaced it with the correct card.

Seemed like maybe you get a free game the first time you play with the card on a Sound Voltex machine, as it let me play once and I still had a credit on the machine afterwards.  Looked like there was something on the title screen in Japanese mentioning it.  Tried card there and on IIDX, worked fine on both.

when you buy anything thats not $5 worth, it comes out to like ~1.20 a play, which (using The World Is All The Same Currency conversion rates) is becoming the norm for Japanese arcade games (or at least BEMANI with Paseli).

It could be worse. It could be gameworks

You get a free game on the Sound Voltex and on the Gitadora machines, but I didn't get a free one on IIDX...unless I did something wrong...

Speaking of IIDX, man the machine that faces out towards the bowling lanes is LOUD.  I understand that if you're playing on that one you probably want to overpower the music from the bowling alley, but it ends up making it hard for the person on the drumset to hear much of anything...

ALSO: has anyone else been able to add their e-amusement pass to their Konami ID?  It keeps saying the number I enter is invalid...I've checked it over and over.  And I can read Japanese fairly well...hmmm.

EDIT2: Nevermind, I figured it out.  I'm a moron and kept entering another PIN number.  But I was just so damned certain I was entering the right one for an hour, hah!

I should have phrased that differently.  Only noticed a free credit on Voltex, but my card worked properly on the IIDX machine.  At that point, the card working properly at all felt like it was worth mentioning.

My guess is that Sound Voltex is relatively new(ish), whereas IIDX is...not. Also, the Step Up mode seems to be a great way for people to ease into IIDX, though the people I've seen try it for the first time just go to Standard (except for one who at first didn't realize the turntable was used to move the selection) and just get confused by it.

Just a guess though, and I'm probably wrong anyway Wink.

I haven't even looked at Step Up mode.  How does it work?

Man long time since I posted.

Who else is playing Gitadora right now? I feel like I'm the only guy unlocking stuff on drummania.
I usually go on sunday's if anyone is up for a Jam session. Machine is perfect and I absolutely love the added buttons. I can't go back to normal DM. It's impossible after this.

Also I'm confused about this. Are unlocks only tied to your e-amuse card? or does unlocked songs show up for anyone using e-amuse?

I'm pretty sure they're tied to your e-amuse card, but that's just an instinctive response that is not based on any actual knowledge in the real world.  Sound Voltex unlocks stuff tied to your e-amuse card, so it would make sense.

IIDX unlocks are also tied to the e-amuse card (I've got around 5 or 6 that I've never seen show up on the songlist when someone else is playing). I think Konami abandoned the idea of "all players help with the unlocking" after what happened with MAX2. Especially since they can easily just do time based unlocking using the network (which IIDX has been doing since RED).

So therefore it stands to reason that any unlocks you see when playing are there because YOU unlocked them, and the only way others will see them is if they unlock them on their own.

I think with Sound Voltex, the unlocks you get are always tied to your card too regardless of if the game is updated.  Unlocks are always still unlockable in new games instead of being unlocked in each iteration.
