I haven't been ties much either lately but I know that it will got played almost every day since all the leagues  are starting backup this week 

Is he available on the weekend too? I'll be busy this weekend, but perhaps I can try to talk with him sometime in the next few weeks about the possibility of doing this.

I haven't been to Evergreen as much as I used to (I've only been going Fridays the last few weeks), but have you seen a lot of people playing there lately? I just wanted to make sure that if I put the thing there, that people would play it enough to make it worth Darrel and my time to put the machine in there.

PERFECT lol, cause both days u gave me were both days that the everett events center had something going on and since the 11th was a non silver tip game, i went with that cause for silvertip games i have to be there like 4-5 hours before it starts :/ so this is like golden news to me heh, and i'll be at the ally tomorow around noon for bowling so if i run into darrel i'll drop the word to him about both the tourny and your machine and see what he says

Edit: I just read on the DDR website that the round 1 tournaments can go until Oct 15th. I originally thought they had to be by the end of September. Since this is the case, I think I will try to have the tournament Oct 9th, in the afternoon (say 2pm).

When would you northern people like me to hold the round 1 qualifier @ Evergreen? Your options are for 9-11-10 or 9-25-10. Take your pick.

Edit: i got there pretty late so he wasn't there, but i wouldn't see why we just couldn't do the qualifying anyways and if someone thats not involved wanted to play, why not just let them play a set? and then we continue

Ya the owner wasn't there today but my friend that's close to him said that she'll pass it onto him and she thinks it'll be no problem. Just would need the date and time and the good stuff like that. And then she'll get back to me when she finds out

I intended to have people pay to play for their turns. The round 1 qualifier isn't really that big of a deal. I think it's mostly there to weed the selection down to those who really deserve to be at the round 2 qualifiers.

I need to do a bit more research, but it seems like this thing is going to be a very laid back tournament. Round 1 at least.

When I go there later today for bowling. I'll pass the idea on to them and see what they would think about it. But the one thing I think they would want is us to pay for each game on it. But I could be wrong. But I also wouldn't think they would be against it since the machine is their main money maker and it could mean more money for them in the long run

Edit: Actually, I guess I'd like to know if people want me to try and hold a local 1st Round Qualifier at Evergreen, or would everyone just go down to Tacoma for the Qualifier tournament that Jon and Bill are organizing? If enough of you want a qualifier up here, then I'll continue to pursue this.

Original Post: Hey Crazy, you know the owners @ Evergreen pretty good, right? Would you ask them if they'd be cool hosting a 1st round qualifier tournament for the DDR US Championships? From what I can tell, all they have to do is let us use the facility and let me put up a flyer or two on or near the machine about a month before the tournament date, which will probably be close to mid-late September.

I (or someone else I know well) will take care of the administration work and all that stuff, I mostly just want their cooperation and make sure they're OK with having an estimated 8-12 people show up for a DDR tournament at Evergreen on some weekend.

Could you check on that for me?

EDIT: scratch that, my car won't start cause i left my lights on and there's noone around that can give me a jump, so i'll be delaying till next week
