Re: [Arcade] Acme Bowl - Bowling & Billiards - Southcenter, Tukwila, WA

I should be up that way in the next couple days.  I will check out the ITG volume issue.
Yes, SN and ITG will get spaced apart by about 6 more feet, so that should help.  We are going to fit the new terminator game in between the two, distancing them apart.
Regarding Terminator, a new I/O board, and now a new computer, and still no workee.  Hoping to finally have it running later this week.

A DM replacement board is finally here, but is yet to be tested.  Hopefully it is a working board, and DM can go back home.

I just want to second what Kevin said.  The ITG machine is very quiet compared to Supernova 2, Rambo, and Super Bikes.  I couldn't hear the machine at all when people were playing Rambo next to me today.

Also, is there any way that we could move the dancing games farther apart?  The Supernova 2 is loud, and happily so, but when I hear the music on SN2 while playing ITG, I want to follow it.  (My heart is forever loyal to DDR).  Just a random thought =)

Re: [Arcade] Acme Bowl - Bowling & Billiards - Southcenter, Tukwila, WA

So I have some requests.

1: The ITG machine has become quieter than it usually is. Honestly I think it's because over time speakers wear out, but it could be just turned up a tad.

This is because Rambo and the super bikes games literally DROWN out ITG completely when both are played. I understand fairness in the arcade, but music games kinds need sound more than other games.

also the ITG 1P coin slot does not accept coins. Today the slot seemed jammed so I pressed both the coin returns and the 1P slot spit out $2:50 out. I was happy

Glad that someone had enough skill to get those put in. I look forward to trying some stuff that's not familiar to me the next time I wander down there (since, unsurprisingly, there's a decent amount of stuff from SN2AC that's not on the US PS2 version).

All 7 can be found linked from here: http://www.ddronlinecommunity.com/forums/2/forum_topics/887
Currently the machine has no unlocks available. Apparently you have to be rather quick at putting them in (judging from some posts on bemanistyle). I wasn't fast enough (trying to read pictures off of a phone and put them in slows things down considerably).

Thanks for the codes, Thunderbird. I inputted all 7 into the SN2 cabinet successfully last night while playing with Gerrak and got to try a few new charts (new to me anyway).

Took a couple vids of his scores but won't upload them until later today probably.

Last night, the volume on ITG seemed kinda low. Maybe it was because it was super loud in the arcade anyways, but ITG was getting overpowered to the point that I honestly couldn't here a damn thing.

People say that you can enter them all in one credit.  You just have to wait until the attract mode loops back to the title screen again.
Hmm, I didn't try that... It took several minutes before returning to the attract for me so I gave up and reset it (since I had access to PG's op menu when I did it).

Yes indeed, the monitor on SN2 was messed up.  The tech's got it squared away today.  Please let us know how it holds up.

Re: [Arcade] Acme Bowl - Bowling & Billiards - Southcenter, Tukwila, WA

Like I mentioned earlier:
1) You have to do the codes in order, 1, 2, 3,...
2) You can't step on arrows before you start the code. Put coins in, put code in.
3) It worked when each note was on a beat, because in the code they're on each line, so it always worked when I hit each arrow as if it was a quarter beat note.
4) Once it goes back to attract mode, you're done. You'll only have time to get one in.
5) If you screw up, you're stuck until next credit due to the time, and that I don't think it resets...

I was at Acme yesterday with Hollie and James.  I only played ITG2, but I saw the big screen problem happen.  (James did it.  Huh)

If someone wants to post all the unlocks here or link me to them, I'd be happy to enter them the next time I head down there, which will probably be soon.

I guess the fact that the codes still haven't been entered means that not many people have been to Acme lately? I know it's been a few weeks for me, but that's because I live nearly an hour away.

Regarding unlock codes:

example image

IIRC, the number in the top left is the current level of unlock codes applied to the machine. I believe you can start putting in codes for the level you want immediately after the number shown. Example: If it shows unlock code lvl 4, start with lvl 5 and go from there.

This could all be bassackwards wrong. So if it doesn't work, my bad.

Update:

The SN2 machine had a weird screen problem, it looked like it was massively zoomed in. It was still playable as the arrows were partially still in view, but other in-game interface elements (lifebar, score) were not. Also, I could not get any unlock codes to take.

weird. The website doesn't have that one.

I've downloaded pictures for all of the unlock codes to my SD card, and will input any that are needed tomorrow.

There's a 7th unlock code.

Any update on the whole unlock thing? Or do I need to haul the whole batch of codes down tomorrow?

I'll be there this Saturday at about 3, meeting a Beatspace player from Portland. I'll try to remember to put these in when I'm there (if they aren't installed already).

I would take all six with you just in case, because I'm not sure if unlock 6 will get everything.
I'm pretty sure you need to enter all of them, but who knows right? I never unlocked a machine past extreme so I don't know......

Re: [Arcade] Acme Bowl - Bowling & Billiards - Southcenter, Tukwila, WA

I won't be down there until the 10th, but I wrote down unlock code 6 into my cell phone (I'd save the unlock code picture, but my laptop's SD card slot is not working). Is this the only code that I'll need to unlock everything so far? Or will I need to bring the other 5 as well? Just checking, since I've never actually unlocked a SN2 machine before and (surprisingly) GameFAQs and DDRFreak have zero information on these unlocks.

As far as I know thunderbird. None of the unlock codes have been put in yet on the acme machine so go right ahead! That would be fantastic if someone could enter those soon.

I'm assuming the SN2's double premium is off? And anyone know the status of the unlocks? I'm gonna be wandering down to Acme on the 10th, and I can bring any necessary unlock code(s) with me if they haven't been applied to the machine yet.

Okay, much news.
Terminator gun game, well, what can I say.  Like most of the new games that come in lately, it does not work!  Trying to get a replacement I/O board.  But for now, it is in trouble.

Better news, looks like we may have a replacement DM V3 board heading our way, so I am thinking that DM will be returning shortly.  :-)

GF, we did not feel it was worth buying a board for with it's 20.00 weekly collection.  The cabinet has been sold.  Could it be the PG cabinet that showed up there?

Will keep you all abreast once I know more.  :-)
