FOR THE COMPLETE LIST OF DDR MACHINES/Some Other Bemani - Visit
DDRFreak.com's Machine Listing
FOR THE COMPLETE LIST OF ITG MACHINES - Visit
Rhythmatic.net's Machine Listing
These are the venues worth mentioning (other venues have threads not linked to):
OREGON
Epicenter
- Klamath Falls (DDR Supernova)
Ground Kontrol
- Portland (DDR Extreme)
Lloyd Center Tilt
- Portland (ITG2 Upgrade)
Seaside Funland - Seaside (ITG2 Dedicab)
Slick Kart and Arcade - Medford (ITG2 Upgrade)
Regional Sports Center in Springfield, OR.
-50cents a play, free entry if you're just playing ITG. R21 Dedicab, owned by manager so no screwy arcade distributor crap. Get cabinet keys from desk if you need to mess with volume (they'll turn it down sometimes since menu timer is off and kids will leave after one song).
KevinDDR Edit: Added machine listings and fixed links.

Well, technically the timing windows are the same. It's the polling rate that was increased. Of course, this has a similar effect, but I just felt it was necessary to point that out. On upgrades, however, the polling rate and timing windows have always and will always be the same.
Oh yeah! That's basically what I was talking about. Poll rate got bigger because of different hardware between some dedicabs.

I believe that's the syncing.
Syncing is different on some songs.
Timing window is tighter on revisions before r16.

sometimes playing on old revisions is fun. Especially before r16. The timing windows are so much tighter.

There isn't a dedicab in existance that doesn't need to be hacked.

Management doesn't want it hacked but is fine with R21 so don't push for OpenITG.

300 songs at the Lava Lanes Dedicab and counting. Only going to put in GOOD songs and complete patterns into this machine. Visit it sometime in Medford
Also going to probably make a new theme for the machine.

SKT now has 2500+ songs, further modifications to the Voltage theme. If I ever get off my butt I'm going to get some more songs together and break 3000...finish up my marathon, make 4 new folders for all the guitar hero songs, and stepchart all of them, by myself...
That last one is never going to happen...

I gotta check that shit out.
But $0.20 at Avalon on an Extreme is fine with me; just gotta remember to step hard. Their monitor's fixed now, and at 5 cents a song, it's second only to freeplay cabinets for affordability. (Gateway's the only other Wunderland DDR left, and their P2 is almost unplayable, but not as bad as GK's P1)
Practice makes perfect. But I'd rather be great. ;]

Re: -=Oregon Machine Location List=-
Slick Kart Track, rules. I really don't like the darkness of the place, and it is stuffed in a corner (better though since no one can stand next to the machine or run in front of it). However, its a hacked upgrade machine owned by PBoy227 (Ryan) and hacked to death. I put a custom theme on that I have made, 2100+ songs and counting thus far, custom mods and marathons, and some pretty damn good scores by all of us.
If you're ever in Medford, make sure you drop in. Its an upgraded 3rd mix I think I was told, the pads work really well, despite the occasional miss, andthey do need some new sensors soon, but overall, very good
And only 2 quarters, you can hardly beat that anymore

More Awesome Than The Day Is Long
-=Oregon Machine Location List=-
Does anyone remember the ~2-3 week period in 2003 when Gateway Wunderland had all of this at once:
Pump It Up Premiere 2
DDR 4th Mix Solo
DDR 5th Mix
Dance Maniax
Dance Maniax 2nd Mix Append J-Paradise
Guitar Freaks 3rd Mix
Guitar Freaks 4th Mix
Para Para Paradise 1st Mix Plus
Beatmania 6th Mix
?
Just thought I'd reiterate how far downhill Wunderland has gone. Pop'n Stage, Techno Motion, and Mambo a Go Go were pretty alright games too. I wonder how long it will be before they gotten rid of all their music games.

Hello, and goodbye?
Quote from: "DancingTofu"
Milwaukie currently has:
DDR Extreme (20 cents)
GF 11th (20 cents)
DrumMania (15 cents)
Jumping Jackpot (20/40/60 cents)
They're supposed to get DanceManiaX soon too. SHOW THAT YOU LIKE ONLY HAVING TO GO TO ONE ARCADE TO GET YOUR KICKS AND PLAY AT MILWAUKIE GUYS.
20 cents! Man...maybe I should have stuck around Portland longer instead of moving back home (Central Cali). lol.
But ITG's pads @ Tilt never seemed to work well. Maybe it was just 'cause I was so out of practice. *shrug* I didn't like the atmosphere much either. I remember my second visit to Tilt (and experienced similar events after), I was playing and some jerks started touching me from behind while I played, I told them to stop, but instead the group just became more rude, to the point the guy working in the arcade had to kick them out. Thanks, whoever u were.
On top of the pads, the mean onlookers, the BRIGHT light that seemed to want to blind u, I stopped going.
I never could find Ground Kontrol. I followed the address in the phone book, and tried to call; I wound up going to the location, only for it to be non-existent. The phone books lie, I tell ya! They LIE! They LIE, like rugs! LOL
I'm thinking about moving to Seattle now. Heh. Anyone here think that's a bad idea...ITG-wise?
I didn't like reading off itgfreak that the machine in Seattle doesn't have a USB! Of course all the others in WA do, but for someone who relies on public transportation and my feet, that doesn't sound thrilling.
Also..the pad ratings were awful!
I should post this in the Seattle forum. Maybe it's not such a far trip from [area of choice] as it seems on the map. =)
Thanks ITG of Portland, for at least...some...fond memories.
I did enjoy the city. It's very green and your transportation system is WONDERFUL! oh heaven.
@ phylicia: From a discussion back in..what...February? (I didn't have a computer while in Oregon. Just the library. Nice one btw), I was in North Portland. Although, I realized shortly after living there that the 500$ a month rent for a tiny room was a rip off (for Portland prices)! What I'd give to pay THAT now!!! ok...side tracked.
Anyway...wish we could have met.
Maybe one day I'll go back to Portland and find this infamous Ground Kontrol. Where in the world was it?! I probably walked passed it a million times. lol. Silly me. 3.5 months was too short a stay.
I kinda miss Portland.
