Chris has informed me from some anonymous tip that a party in Salem may have purchased the machine?
I intend to track them down with bloodhounds and drug money...
...or just hopefully figure it out.
So are they just going to keep the machine in a private location?

I'm kind of curious where the machine went. Maybe it's still in Springfield or Eugene. It's a good machine so there's no point in scrapping it.

Is it still there? The place switched ownership a couple months ago.

We're definitely capable of doing it and it's had OpenITG on it for a weekend. We've already talked to management. They don't want it hacked.
Yeah, it's inconvenient to be restricted to what a USB can hold or having to up-rate songs you want to play at higher rates, but we do just fine.
Being an Indiana transplant (Ft. Wayne, Indy, old Ohio and Michi tourneys) and being used to stepmania machines and hacked dedis, I was just happy that we finally had a good machine other than Medford.
Machine in use, shitty score I know:

Hey, if someone wanted to drive me to Oregon and pay for a night in a hotel for me, I'd be more than willing.

If I bike down there on July 18th, will anyone be there to meet up with me and play some ITG2? I probably won't play anything harder than a 10 since I will have just biked 110 miles and I'll have another 15 or 20 before I get to where I'd be sleeping, but I should be conditioned enough at that point that I won't be to worn out to play.
Practice makes perfect. But I'd rather be great. ;]

Each sensor has been cleaned and it's currently R21. Good chance that it will be hacked with custom songs sometime soon as well. It's 50 cents for 3 songs with doubles premium
You're lucky. Enjoy it while you can.
Arcades may have gone away, but their culture is not gone.

uh, this thread is really old. but I just wanted to let people know that I've been going down to Springfield lately and the dedicab works really well. Re: New Dedicab in Springfield
I went by their to meet up with Spinn (actually missed her; she left a little before I got there) back in March and it was off sync and they didn't have any quarters, so I could only play 2 games despite the 20 in my pocket.
Not a super location, but not a bad one if they've fixed the syncing and the pads still work. I don't know if they've patched it yet.
EDIT: Also, just tell them you want to just play the dancing game when you go. They'll likely let you in free.
Practice makes perfect. But I'd rather be great. ;]

Went over there and played for a few hours today. Talked to the manager and she is going to upgrade it and turn it up.
I'm hoping to get some people together to play sometime. Anyone up for it?

Did you have to pay the cover fee?? Paying a higher entrance fee than wunderland and then still having to pay regular price really doesn't appeal to me.
It's ridiculous if you compare to a nickel arcade, yes.
Compared to a Gameworks without a time card? It's really cheap.
If you play ten games while you're there, it comes out to 1.00 a game. Not "too" bad, although it's steep for regular play.
PM me Josh, I'll drop you a cell number and we can meet up sometime.

Maybe someone can try to hack it to put tons of song on the machine. I wonder where emu's machine went then I was kinda hoping that it would be put in the movies 12 machine because that is a pretty decent machine and there are already 2 other extremes at the mall.
