It's all good, tomorrow or monday will be even better. Where at in Idaho? I used to live in Boise.

I have all of Monday off, thinking about going and fixing up the Big Al's SN2 today. I'll post again if I make it out there.

when the supernova 2 is done with maintenance ill definitely check it out.  gk is just too loud to play at after a certain time so ill probably just stick out the trip to Vancouver when i want to play from now on

I just did a bunch of work on the SN2 at Vancouver.
Mainly cleaned out everything, rotated lots of sensors, added tape for sensitivity and made sure all sensor bracket were tightened down. Turns out every single one only has two of three bolts and they are all left and right and none on the bottom. This can create inconsistent issues from time to time, and I know some of the spacers are missing which again can cause problems like completely falling out if loose or tightening up and making sensors stick.

once it was all said and done it worked out great. I had two friends go and check it out last night and they gave great reviews and got some new AAAs so i'm very happy atm.

A bunch of us will be meeting up at Big Al's Vancouver this Wed for the discounted  night. I'm thinking around 5 or 6pm. Hope to see you there and meet up with a lot of the other crew.

Sweet! I've got another friend coming out from Salem as well(has an ITG2 upgrade) so it should be a nice little turn out.

also BTW there is an arcade in Hillboro at a place called Park Lanes. Cute tiny little arcade with Guitar Hero and DDR Extreme. The pad sensitivity last time I was there was pretty good on both sides. I haven't been there in a LONG time but it might be worth checking out.

ill definitely be sure to check that out since its really close, so many extreme machines around here lol

also, i went over to big als in beaverton and played piu pro for the first time ever and i must say it is REALLY fun. I think there was only a few machines on the east coast and none were in NY so i never got a chance to play but i really enjoyed it. wasnt expecting to see such a good song selection haha. I also met some dude who worked there that was really cool and surprisingly pretty damn good, we got a few games in, talked about rhythm games and such and he hooked it up with a few credits which was awesome. ill definitely be back for more piu

That was most likely Evan, sadly he quit and this is his last week. He's a beast at ITG and Pump. We just hauled some ITG on monday.  You'll see him around for sure.

Pump Pro 2 feels a little like ITG so I know what you're talking about, the bracketless pads make it an enjoyable play as well.

mwerp and art are going are going at it on the gk wall on fb
https://www.facebook.com/GroundKontrol/posts/10152310605311447
i don't blame art for responding like that given mwerp's tone but this thread drives the point home that ddr is dead there. the only people who play with no issues are casuals and naturally they can't understand the difference. art gives the most shill non-answers, even saying "THE VOLUME OF THE MACHINE HAS BEEN DISCUSSED INTERNALLY FOR MONTHS". i know art understands the issues (avalon employee, knows the scene for ddr etc) but it boils down to gk just not being a good fit for ddr given the noise level of other shit a among other issues. of course he can't come out and say that, but i think we understand.  sad but funny stuff, might wanna give it a read for laughs.

I visited again recently and, to my surprise, the machine is actually loud enough to be heard AND the far right pad is pretty damn decent.

More importantly, who the fuck is Iori241? I need to know who to block on my social media.

If you think it's a stupid topic, BlueSS, then why did you join in the hunt by sharing the IP match / failed login attempt made by the new user? And the act of splitting the extra posts into a new, stickied topic? No personal investment, no interest there at all on your part? I should think if you thought it was stupid, you could delete the posts and PM me about it. I didn't break any rules.

Moreover, the message you added to the end of this new thread you created shows clearly that you don't understand the situation or my motive. My Facebook is private, but it's still possible for someone outside of my circle to see what I post on the page of a business. Naturally, your response is going to be "well hey, try not posting things that are going to be read publicly if you don't want them to be," but that totally misses the point. I don't care if the public sees them. I care if the users of your forum document them online without my knowledge.
