So, about a week ago, I opened Firefox, ran around doing stuff, found some shit I wanted to download, clicked the download button, and the download didn't start.  I opened the downloads screen, and tried again.  Still no luck.  I decided to reinstall Firefox, did so, and it still didn't work.
So, I did a system restore.  Then, I tried it, problem wasn't fix, and now no sites will remember my password.
I undid the system restore, and still have both problems.

I copied the Mozilla Firefox folder in "Program Files" onto my flash drive and tried it on another computer on my network, and neither problem existed.  I also tried it with Internet Explorer on my computer, and again, neither problem existed.

This problem started a few days ago, and it's really becoming a problem.  Any help appreciated.

reinstalling windows is how.  that usually means that your hard drive will be formatted and you'll lose whatever data is on it...

There have been a bunch of things I've tried to download from a multitude of sites.  No sites work with Firefox, all sites work with IE, all sites work with firefox when I put it on my flash drive and try with another computer.

Is there some way to completely erase all Firefox data on my computer?  I'm pretty sure there's some setting stored away with stuff like bookmarks and cookies that's causing these problems.

Actually, that said, I'm going to try deleting my cookies and temp files.  Maybe that'll fix it.

you may have firewall settings that aren't letting firefox go through...check that too

Has a weird-looking interface, but I'll give it a shot.

I'll also check out my firewall settings.  Although nothing pops up when I try to download stuff.

Oh, and maybe I'll do a virus scan.

Viruses are assholes.

Well, you could uninstall it and delete the program files folder or reformat your pc using a Restore CD.
Did both. :?
