The PS2 versions are good, but the KOC is somewhat lacking (though I have one), and the real ASC controller is a Yamaha DTXpress electronic drumset, which'll set you back $900.

Hey, random inquiry: Does Bill have the same difficulty settings for the DMs at both ACME and Narrows?  Cuz I know he sets the one at Narrows lower than the Japanese machines...

That aside, I passed Akai Suzu Extreme (92) with an A on Friday, which was a new high for me; never even got into the red so Bill's lowered difficulty might have not even mattered on that one (I can dream lol).

@Michael: Wow you passed Kodomo no Rakugaki/Children's Sketchbook on extreme?  Very, very nice.  I can almost pass it on advance but the stick crossovers are still messing me up a bit due to the speed mostly, so I always get right to the final snare/tom roll.  But then I haven't practiced the song much.  Right now I'm working mainly on the Model DDs.

Narrows' machines are set at minimum difficulty.  Acme is at default, I think.

My experience is most of the time people try to describe the songs which have names they can't pronounce or read, by describing the background video.

Oh, and the answer is always Taisetsunamono.  (/bemanistyle inside joke)

And here's a helpful link: http://www.gdamania.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=562

風に吹かれて三度笠ポン太

Now that's a long song title. Long enough that I had to look up 3 of the kanji.

Beat "Cries in the Wilderness" Drummania EXT today at ACME.  I've done it on GFDM Masterpiece Silver before but this was my first time with an arcade setup so I was happy.

@pantsu: Sexy Commando theme song is ロマンス/Romance.

That song is ファミレスバンバー/Family Restaurant Bomber, by Sex Machineguns. =D  An excellent song, and you can make Japanese people laugh really hard if you sing it at karaoke.  It's basically about a guy who gets stood up on his date at a family restaurant, then proceeds to say he's going to kill everyone.  Yeah, it's like 5'30" long.  Keep at it; the end guitar part kicks my ass too ;_;

Anyhow in order to not fill this thread with non-accomplishments, I'll stop chiming in with the name of every song from now on ^_^;;;
