The Rep system got an upgrade!

First off, when you give rep, a reason is required now.
Second, a user's profile, there are two options: see who gave you rep and see who you've given rep to. (Not sure if everyone can see this, but I think you all can).

There are some other admin changes that make this mod powerful, but these are the exciting ones for now.

To be fair, rep is, as far as I know, an experiment right now, and if it creates more drama than it helps, I'm sure Jon will be cool doing away with it.  For now, let's just have fun with it.

Though truthfully I dunno if it's particularly productive or non-offensive to publicly tally negative 'reputation', especially considering we're mostly all accountable in person anyway. Plus you don't have a 'dislike' button on Facebook, probably for the same reason.

And rep probably isnt going to be given based on being helpful to the community, but more given based on who is liked the most by forum-goers or says the funniest things, etc. Like voting for class president in high school

But then, I just argue everything if I see the slightest problem... Anyway I think you should leave the negatives out and only make it +rep. Both + and - are going to be inherently extremely biased based on, as I said, who likes who rather than who actually does anything useful.

Speaking of, my +1 rep for the next few days goes to Tony, who's currently at +0, for doing more for the community through his work fixing and updating the Acme machine in the last week than anyone here has done in the last year.
