For those of you looking forward to Seattle's next anime convention, it may be wise to buy advance passes soon. 3-day passes will only stay $40 until the 15th of this month. Website link~

The same entry passes will be $60 at the door next year, but the main advantage to ordering in advance is that you won't have to wait 3 - 5 hours in line at the door if you go reasonably early to the pre-reg line.

I really hope there will be an abundance of rhythm games again :]

Or we can see if we can just get hired to run the arcade again. That worked out fine for the most part since arcades are meant to run themselves.

Man, I'm not even thinking about this con yet, heh.  Still have a bit to go.

I think the arcade set up was pretty nice last year.  I kind of wish the Rock Band set up was a little more distant from the arcade, but other than that everything was nice!  The sound from the stage kind of overshadowed a few of the arcade games.

I have a problem with Rockband's volume every year. I know we try and find a balance but it usually drowns out other games.

it's why I turned up ITG2 so loud this year. Nobody seemed to mind.
Maybe rockband should have it's own room next year? Like trade off with one of the bigger rooms. I don't know, I'm just spouting ideas.

Yeah, it almost seems like it would be better on another floor or just in another room.  I like Rock Band myself, but its a bit overpowering.  You can't really relax in the arcade area because of it.

I'm coordinating the arcade again this year, so PNW will have its say. As far as Rock Band goes, we're probably better off just dealing with it by turning all the Bemani machines up louder to compensate - no need to step on toes if we can fix it by doing our own thing.

I'll mention some of these concerns to higher ups, but I'm not sure how they'll be received.

Hey, Just a quick bump (and quite a good one at that), I don't know if any of you follow M-Project Suzumoto on Facebook or not but there's word that he's looking to come out to Sakura-con this year. I don't know anyone that directly gets involved with the event but I'd like to raise some awareness to get some people talking about this as some of you either work at the event or know who to contact. If you can spread this around people would love you forever!

Also I have a Facebook Page in the process of being created just for this. I'll update you guys with the info.

Edit: Here is the Facebook Page that was created. Facebook Fan Page

Yeah. It's pretty funny how in the past year and a half or so, Facebook Pages have become one of the most viral things on the internet. Well for Facebook at least. I also gave the Page a "username" so you don't have to type in a bunch of numbers for a direct link. The URL is now http://www.facebook.com/mpro2sakuracon

I know it's long but I couldn't make it any shorter with out losing it's meaning.
