Bill's DDR Extreme for sale

Man, I wish I had some cash to buy this cab. It looks really nice. I don't completely understand why Bill has to charge a sales tax to WA buyers though. I thought auctions weren't included under the state sales tax.

So this isn't gonna happen. Tofu, you should see if Kumori'll buy this bad boy.

I am making a very feeble attempt to possibly convince Sakura-Con to buy this....
If this happens, Sakuracon becomes super-awesome-tacular. :>

I'd really like to see this cabinet wind up somewhere where the community will be able to make use of it.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

Practice makes perfect.  But I'd rather be great. ;]

Re: Bill's DDR Extreme for sale

I don't think many cabinets were being built by the time Extreme came out.  There was already a big glut of cabinets out in the field by the time they made it to Extreme.  Yes, the cardboard surround artwork for around the monitor came with the kits.  They actually did hold up for a few years, surprising.

Yes, we are offloading some dance game wood as they are not holding up so well these days.  We had over 18 cabinets, and will have now thinned down to 15, about right for the upcoming year for us.

FYI, this is the old second Extreme cabinet from Narrows.  The OTHER cabinet we still have in the field is the one that has memory card slots and Foy's edits on it.  This one does NOT have the Chris Foy edits.

I'd strongly consider buying this in an instant if I knew where to store it.

I would buy this in an instant if I had the money. That price is unbeatable.

Re: Bill's DDR Extreme for sale

I can't say that I've ever seen an original DDR Extreme cabinet. All the ones I've seen are upgrades (including this one in Bill's auction).

Did the bezel around the monitor look any different on a true DDR extreme cabinet? I know they had little cardboard pieces that went on the sides of the monitor, but I think those also came with the upgrade kits. Actually, come to think of it, did they ever make a dedicated DDR Ex cabinet, or were there only upgrade kits?

Bill, if you're reading this - Why are you getting rid of so many dance games lately? Has their earning value gone downhill dramatically in the last few months?

Arcades may have gone away, but their culture is not gone.

Well, it makes me very sad because I believe this is the one cabinet which has all of the Chris Foy edits and such on it.
