Narrows Plaza Bowl
2200 Mildred St. West
Tacoma, WA 98466
253-565-1007

Laura and I are running the tournament. You need to sign up at Narrows and pay at the same time; although if someone here can't make it to Narrows to register before then, I'm sure I can work something out for you.

It will be fun, and we plan on having two tables + other various prizes. Bill (mvco) is awesome once again, and worked out all the Narrows logistics in addition to providing the Racin' Force cabinet as a prize.

So EVERYONE COME TO THE TOURNAMENT.   Laura and I aren't playing, so you all have a chance at winning!  Cheesy

OH, ALSO: two free games of bowling with each preregistration.

That's a pretty big prize...
Anyways, I think I might be able to show up.

Sounds like fun, but I won't be able to go.  I'll be at the Kumoricon General Meeting on the 19th.  Oh well; I'm probably pretty rusty anyway, since I haven't played air hockey since the Milwaukie Wunderland got rid of their DDR last September.

Can we only pre-reg at the venue?

Also, any carpools from Seattle?

Yes, you can only do it at Narrows to make it... less of a logistical nightmare working it out with them. Bill might be able to get some names on the list when he goes to check on the machines soon... so that may be a possibility for those who want to register but can't make it down to Narrows. I just sent him a PM about it.

I'm not sure about whether I'll be riding along with Laura/Tony, but there are definitely people in the Seattle area who will be driving down (like myself...).  I'll be getting there at 12 though, to setup; so as long as you're fine with that (and waiting until the whole tournament ends and gets cleaned up), rides are probably possible.

I might be going to this. I'll have to leave at 5:30 though, so HOPEFULLY I can make it work. We'll see.

If that's the case, have him put me on that list. I can also scrounge up some swag if need be, both sakura-con and nintendo.

Ok, Bill said he'll be able to register anyone from the forums that wants to enter (because he's awesome).

More swag = always more fun!

RESULTS - Top 4
1) Kevin (Narrows Local)
2) Tony (anscik)
3) Jon (DMN)
4) Alex (Tada)

We had 11 people show up and so we switched to round-robin style for the whole tournament. It lasted just over 2 hours, and everyone seemed to have fun. Bill even through in the marketing/banner kit that came with one of the ID4 machines. Kevin took the kit, so Tony won the Racin' Force cabinet.

Laura and I will probably be doing another one in the winter (around November I'd guess). This one was tons of fun, and people hung out all day/afterwards too.
